Leidos Gibbs & Cox is seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Sr. Systems Engineer. As member of an interdisciplinary team, you will apply both traditional and Model Based Systems Engineering methodologies to support the DDG(X) Large Surface Combatant program. This is a key position.
Location : Position can support remote candidates. However, must be able to attend meetings at our Washington DC Navy Yard office, once per month for 2 days.
Essential responsibilities include:
Responsible for implementing the Requirements Development and Management Plan and associated subordinate processes
Accountable for capturing, analyzing, and reviewing DDG(X) requirements
Responsible for interfacing with DDG(X) stakeholders to assess and understand the requirements and to ensure that plans and procedures are consistent and applicable across the digital environment
Support DDG(X) CPTs/IPTs and working groups to define requirements, allocate requirements, and to derive functional requirements to hardware, software, and lower-level components and incorporate into requirements database and models.
Work with CPTs/IPTs and WGs to verify and ensure traceability from the CDD requirements to system components and software
Present high-level information at the appropriate level of detail for the intended audience
Plan, lead and participate in reviews of requirements documentation
Responsible for overall quality of requirements documentation
Develop technical reports and white papers
Basic Qualifications
BS Degree in Engineering or Related Discipline or equivalent education in Systems Engineering.
10 (+) Years of Systems Engineering Experience, one of which must be directly related to Model-Based Systems Engineering.
Experience creating models in CAMEO System Modeler.
Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
Work independently (with moderate supervision), or on project teams.
U.S. Citizenship is required.
An Active Secret Clearance is Required.
Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with US Navy ship designs.
Experience working in large team environments & interfacing with highly technical points of contact for component systems / subsystems
Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks and project unknowns/ambiguity

Pay Range:
Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00
