Job Description:
As a Production Planning Specialist, you will be responsible for Manufacturing Operations planning functions on multiple development and production programs. Tasks include master scheduling; material planning; set up and maintenance of MRP data; production planning; and monitoring WIP in the factory. You will be a liaison between manufacturing, engineering, quality, configuration, and program office teams. You will perform problem and non-conformance resolution; Operations process implementation and improvement; and other requirements as necessary.
The Agile Development Group (ADG) specializes in developing disruptive, next-generation technologies for advanced Unmanned Air Systems (UAS/UAV), advanced radar systems, next-generation weapon systems, and other RF sensor technologies using small company agility and big company experience.
Essential Functions:
Plan, requisition, manage, and expedite material requirements to ensure availability
Control flow of approved materials to meet development and production schedules
Advise management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential schedule impacts to ensure resources are effectively and efficiently utilized
Coordinate interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, and inventory control, etc.
Schedules and expedite the movement of parts via material requests, stock transfers and other means
Read engineering drawings and bills of material to ensure procurement and manufacturing activities align with the design specifications
Prioritize and manage the efficient movement of material from receiving to production to meet contracted delivery schedules
Use Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems to create manufacturing orders and purchase requisitions
Participate in program meetings to ensure scheduled milestones are supported.
Provide input to Program Managers and project teams for hardware availability, build issues and scheduling of resources to meet required schedules
Review and evaluate engineering change notices for material planning requirements and schedule impacts
Develop and maintain manufacturing build schedules and Master Production Schedules
Ability to perform essential functions with limited oversight
Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearances as required
Up to 10% travel may be required

Qualifications:
Ability to obtain a maintain a Secret Clearance
Bachelor's degree in Operations, Supply Chain, or related field and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
Working knowledge in master scheduling and material planning in support of manufacturing operations, in both development and repetitive production environments
Working knowledge of program management
Experience using MRP/ERP systems
Working knowledge of procurement practices and processes
Experience with engineering documents and planning processes
Preferred Additional Skills:
APICS CPIM or CSPC certifications, or equivalent experience
Working knowledge of ISO9000/AS9100 quality systems
Experience in Aerospace Industry
Experience with Cincom Control and Agile PDM
Outstanding work ethic and commitment to organizational success
Excellent people skills to include collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team environment
Excellent analytical problem-solving skills and communication skills (written, verbal, & presentation)
Experience using Microsoft Office products
