The individual will work as part of a cross functional team developing, testing, and evaluating arc performance, explore and quantify new and existing technology, assist with customer visits, and they will support cross functional team members with expert welding knowledge.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Develop, test, and evaluate arc performance for current and future welding power supplies in the retail and GTAW markets.
Explore and quantify innovative technology through research, competitive and prototype weld assessments, tradeshows, and other resources to contribute innovative solutions to market challenges.
Support cross functional teams with expert welding knowledge in personal protective equipment testing, accessory testing, unique welding challenges through advanced application calls, customer visits, and more.
Assist cross functional teams with customer visits to contribute to the teams understanding of market segments and identify markets unarticulated product needs.
BSWE or BSWET degree required with ability to perform all duties mentioned above.
Individual must have an expert understanding of the SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW processes; expert understanding of relating marketing segments desired.
Individual will have hands on welding experience and be able to perform on an individual basis as well as working within a team setting.
Individuals must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, ppt, etc.) and should demonstrate excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills.
This self-motivated individual must be capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously, ultimately completing projects on time.
Individual be willing and available for up to 25% travel
