This position will offer you the opportunity to manage employees and provide financial planning and analysis support to a fast-paced, innovative, and growing global organization. This role will encourage you to demonstrate and develop your leadership skills through developing people, utilizing excellent communication, presentation, and financial analysis skills, along with providing avenues to interact regularly with top senior leaders within Construction Industries, as well as being a liaison with other organizations throughout the enterprise, including Corporate consolidations and other segments. In addition, this role will be heavily involved in leading and implementing strategic finance initiatives. This position offers a flexible working environment.
JOB DUTIES:
Senior Accounting Managers are knowledgeable on a variety of business functions. They will act as a business partner on topics with business unit accountants as well as non-accountants and can resolve issues independently. Incumbent can accomplish complex and/or technical analysis, but generally utilizes data gathered by others to render a business decision/recommendation. Incumbent will provide advice/recommendations to drive behavior (ability to influence management directions) with segment managers, division manager, business unit managers and leaders, often working on tactical and strategic business issues. They will demonstrate decision making skills and ownership for results.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Lead consolidation of monthly results, quarterly earnings release, quarter forecasting (RBM) and annual business planning, which includes business driver explanation of results to segment CFO & Group President.
Providing a strategic focus, making decisions, and leading initiatives on complex financial, and non-financial business activities within and outside team to represent the group.
Working with the segment strategy team and Mining intelligence teams to pull market and commodity activity into financials analysis.
Evaluating and reporting on management staff performance, participating in employee selection, providing career guidance and training direction, complying with personnel practices, and promoting team awards and successes.
Lead and participate in developing and implementing strategic finance and business strategies.
Communicating effectively within the team as well as internal customers and data providers, including presentations to all levels of management.
Proactively interact with internal customers to develop, understand and manage customer requirements and expectations.
Providing technical guidance and expertise on business issues of global impact and/or high complexity such as financial reporting requirements for business units.
Providing creative solutions that challenge traditional methods and processes.
Liaison between Corporate and the division business resource teams.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
4-year degree in preferably in accounting/finance OR any 4-year degree with a certification (CPA/CMA).
Must demonstrate high levels of initiative, leadership, good judgment, the ability to communicate effectively, a broad understanding of accounting business processes and process improvement.
7-10 years of accounting experience is recommended.
TOP CANDIDATES WILL ALSO HAVE:
Experience with financial analysis and forecasting.
Experience with consolidations.
Strong analytical, process improvement and problem-solving skills.
Experience managing staff performance.
Professional certifications (CPA or CMA).
Proven record of strong initiative, leadership, accountability, and effective communication skills working with a global team.

Location: Preferably Peoria, IL, Nashville, TN or Irving, TX
Domestic relocation is available for those who qualify
10-15% travel
