Overview

The Director of Direct to Consumer is a Senior Business Development Execute (Executive?) who can build impactful, trusting partnerships to help consumer brands achieve their Amazon and E-commerce growth goals. They are Amazon and E-commerce experts who work directly with clients on a daily basis to drive top-level strategy, capitalize on new opportunities and translate client needs into action items. The right candidate is an exceptional communicator, problem-solver, and effective facilitator across people and teams.

This position will work remotely and have some travel.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

  • Leverage your experience within digital media sales to grow existing and secure net new client relationships and exceed revenue targets

  • Develop a strategy for managing Audacy's Amazon and eCommerce book of business, spanning both active and prospective accounts, to drive long-term growth for Audacy Partners.

  • Partner and lead with revenue operations, sales development, and client success to strategically engage solicit interest, and secure commitment from new accounts, while engaging -upwards- and -out- with new stakeholders and decision-makers across existing accounts.

  • Lead day-to-day client engagement as a collaborative thought leader and expert resource to solve client challenges on Amazon

  • Serve as a primary account manager for KEY department accounts driving growth for Amazon and eCommerce clients

  • Manage all key account activities, assign tasks to other teams, and complete deliverables in a timely manner using project management software and internal processes.

  • Monitor and analyze account activity (i.e. revenue, spend, key performance indicators/metrics, incidents, trends, etc.) across all clients managed.

  • Identify and communicate listing optimization, advertising opportunities, and product expansion recommendations to internal teammates for collaboration and ideation.

  • Develop and maintain promotional initiatives and populate content calendars for Amazon Posts.

  • Run thoughtful, well-prepared meetings - internally and with clients - that facilitate engaging discussions and produce thoughtful solutions.

  • Support and strengthen the Amazon and eCommerce team by educating teammates, contributing to the development of Amazon SOPs & processes, and participating in team strategy brainstorming sessions

  • Stay up to date with the latest Amazon platform news and maintain high levels of up-to-date knowledge of best practices, tools, & strategies related to Amazon services

  • Hands-on execution and problem-solving for various client need on the Amazon platform alongside other teammates. Areas of focus will depend on your unique experience and strengths, but common areas include catalog data, inventory, reporting, advertising, research, and SEO.

  • Triage of important and urgent (and sometimes ridiculous) issues that often arise working on the Amazon and eCommerce platform

  • Continuous training of Audacy DTC sales process, products, operations, and the Audacy sales story to the local markets.

  • Manage Amazon eCommerce dedicated success managers staff to help drive DTC digital revenue.

Approximate Time Allocation

25% Client engagement: day to day communication, preparing and running meetings, and drafting and presenting performance reports

20% Analyzing performance, developing growth strategies, planning for new initiatives, and assigning tasks to the team

20% Hands-on work collaborating with Client Success Managers to help clients and resolve issues on the Amazon and eCommerce platforms

35% Support new business development

Qualifications

About You:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience helping brands grow on Amazon Seller or Vendor

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with both clients and internal teammates

  • You must know how to effectively manage clients, proactively solve problems, and keep track of what needs to be done today to achieve tomorrow's goals.

  • Experience in other parts of Amazon are a plus: Amazon Advertising, Amazon Vendor, Brand Registry, Amazon SEO, etc.

  • Agency experience is a big plus.
