As an analyst on the Sales Go-To-Market Operations team, you will use and develop your analytical skill set to empower data-driven decisions across our Sales and our cross-functional partners. You will report to the Sales Go-To-Market Operations team lead and will help build and execute the go-to-market strategy for all segments of the Sales team. You will be a hybrid of traditional jobs in analytics and strategy & planning. You will join our motivated team and support our Sales teams in optimizing our growth across each of our markets. More specifically you will leverage Cengage internal data and third-party data such as MDR to construct dashboards that highlight sales opportunities in prospective and underperforming accounts, historical buying patterns, pipeline insights, product segment trends and resource allocation optimization. Analytics demands are constantly evolving and will require regular enhancements to products as well as support the creation of new tools. These tools will equip sales and marketing teams to improve sales targeting and revenue generation. What You'll Do Here: + Conduct analysis using internal and external data to obtain insights that will promote strategic decisions and enhance Sales' ability to go-to-market effectively, such as optimized outbound targeting, lead generation and customer segmentation + Consult with Sales Strategy and Sales leadership to identify growth levers and KPIs, complete analyses, and implement tracking infrastructure and visualization + Work with (and learn from) cross-functional partners in Marketing, Partnerships, Finance, Data Science, Product, and more to promote Sales growth and profitability + Identify sales opportunities in currently underperforming and prospective accounts + Optimize resource allocation based on opportunity potential + Develop key account management analytics (e.g. product usage, activations) for account management enablement + Systematize sales process through the creation of sales dashboards, reporting, and targeting tools + Support implementation of strategic designs and system changes (e.g., territory changes) Skills You Will Need Here: Required + BA/BS required (major in analytical or technical field preferred) + 2 or more years of strong analytical and problem-solving experience preferred (management consulting, corporate strategy, sales/business operations, finance, or similar) + Highly quantitative with demonstrated ability conducting complex data analysis to build insights through a combination of SQL (strong proficiency), Excel (proficiency with elegant analyses and models is a must), and Tableau/Looker (or similar data visualization tool) + You are excited and take the initiative to dive into tough problems and build new processes / deliverables from scratch; you develop frameworks to support strategic decisions and are skilled at detailed execution + Demonstrated cross-functional collaboration + Experience working with customers + Strong skills in organizing and prioritizing + Strong ability to present analytical insights + Familiarity with Salesforce and other business systems (Oracle) + Up to 10% overnight travel - must be able to travel by both auto and air Cengage Group is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
