Leidos Defense Systems is seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager to join our team!
In this role you will:
Serve as a customer / client advocate with client management of expectations and results.
Provide technical oversight of our advance technology development programs.
Lead project teams throughout the product delivery life cycle of the program, both hardware and software development, to support the client with critical missions.
Provide strategic thought leadership regarding technical management, software / hardware delivery, system solutioning, and client management for multiple development projects.
Assist senior leaders to define strategies and success for all aspects of contract management, financial performance, and budget control of existing programs.
Provide oversight and review and debriefing executive leadership with financial estimates and ROMs for new development efforts.
Maintain responsibility for the leadership and development of Department members of program execution professionals.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and 15 years of experience in Engineering Leadership / Project Management type roles is required; or a Master's degree and 13 years' experience.
Must have a strong technical background with proven experience in delivering production representative test articles. as well as verbal and written skills
Must be a proven leader with good organizational skills, attention to detail and work well as a leading member of a team
12+ years of experience developing / delivering low TRL / R&D projects
Demonstrated experience in the following areas:
Government Program Office in a resident capacity (Military or Government Civilian position, will possibly accept SETA experience)
DoD Acquisition training
Systems Engineering
Design and Verification Process
Subcontract Management/Oversight
Cost estimating and Budget management
Organizational/IPT development
Leading a team, including subcontractors
Developing a Work Breakdown Structure
Developing Integrated Master Schedule
Risk identification and management
Performance Reporting
Preferred Qualifications
Experience leading hardware & software development
Transitioning programs from development to production / sustainment
Leading Proposal Teams/Proposal experience
Proficiency using Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint
PMP Certification and experience working in an Agile development / Rapid Prototyping environment are a plus.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $131,300.00 - $237,350.00
