Description
Leidos is hiring a Geospatial Analyst to work with a Government-Contractor team providing a near real- time, geospatially accurate Common Operating Picture (COP) to support mission requirements. This COP enables sharing and reuse of geospatial intelligence across multiple function areas in support of military operations. The Geospatial Analyst will support systems responsible for processing, exploitation, and dissemination of multi-discipline and multi-sensor intelligence, mapping, and weather information to
weapon system platforms and Warfighters.
Primary Responsibilities
Analyze geographical data, work collaboratively with other team members, and understand and communicate GIS theories, applications, technologies, and concepts.
Utilize GIS techniques and tools to provide a better understanding of certain variables in a given geographic location.
Extract data from GIS software and use varying analysis methods to arrive at results.
Write reports on geospatial analysis findings and recommend appropriate reactionary strategies in response to GIS analysis.
Present relevant information in an understandable way in meetings and presentations.
Provide maps and data sets to supplement analysis.
Provide database development support in creating cartographic and digital data products.
Perform data conversion migration, and translation activities utilizing advanced processing techniques.
Design and implement efficient production tools and coordinate workflow with project team.
Perform finishing of remote sensing data, producing and maintaining cartographic databases, updating cartographic data from intelligence databases and producing mission specific data sets.
Research and develop geospatial products for project use.
Basic Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree (Geographic Information Science, computer science, cartographic science, geology, social science, environmental science or related technical field) and 4 years of experience OR Master's Degree and 2 years of experience.
4 years work experience, OR Associate's Degree plus 2 years of experience, may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree - Excellent research, collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills
An active secret level security clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance is required for this role.
Preferred Qualifications
Certified GIS Professional (GISP) certification, National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG) GEOINT Professional certification, Army GEOINT/Imagery Analyst Leadership Course, or Army Foundry GEOINT training or comparable certification.
Experience on the operation of National and Tactical GEOINT systems and associated tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
Two years as a GIS or Geospatial analyst in the IC or DoD, or two years' experience providing subject matter expertise to DoD GEOINT programs/projects.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $61,750.00 - $111,625.00
