Job Summary:
The Distributed Database Services IT Manager will deliver highly available and mission critical Snowflake, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, IBM DB2 LUW, and MySQL databases to global distributed customers, while ensuring a high level of service availability with exceptional customer experience. The IT Manager will guide and lead a team made of globally distributed Database Administrators to deliver secure, innovative, and modern database solutions.
What You Will Do:
Provide leadership, direction, and guidance to a globally distributed team of IT professionals
Provide enterprise distributed database services for Snowflake Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, IBM DB2 LUW and MySQL database platforms
Ensure continuous collaboration with managed service support leadership to ensure a high level of engagement ensuring delivery of high-quality services meeting or exceeding service level expectations
Meet or exceed availability targets across each on premise managed database service
Manage vendor relationships to ensure understanding of future technology changes, manage licenses and contracts
Understand and ensure compliance with SOX controls, Export controls, IT Controls, divisional and corporate governance processes
Provide project leadership and guidance to team ensuring on time, budget and quality delivery of customer, IT security, and technology enablement projects
Collaborate across multiple business groups understanding and delivering on key projects supporting strategic initiatives
Employ a security focused and customer experience driven approach to delivering technology, self-service, and automation capabilities.
Facilitate program and project workshops, development sessions, meetings, gate reviews and other project meetings independently.
Manages and reports out on the status of multiple key projects to leadership
What You Have:
Experience as a team lead or a technical program manager with matrixed team members
Managing Database Platforms, Program/ Project management skills, team leadership skills, excellent communication skills, strong analytical and organizational skills.
College or university degree with a technical focus.
Interpersonal skills are required to manage sensitive issues, develop others, or influence others inside and outside the department to take specific actions
Ability to take initiative to own projects and drive long-term process improvements
Ability to create a vision, lead change, and ensure team understanding for execution of strategic initiatives

MUST BE WILLING TO RELOCATE TO THIS LOCATION AND Work out of the office 3 times a week.
This position may require 10% travel.
