What You'll Do Here:
The Manager is part of our Controllership Team and supports the company's external reporting and certain technically advanced accounting matters.
Lead the company's external reporting process, with primary focus on preparation and review of publicly issued quarterly and annual financial reporting, ensuring alignment with SEC rules and regulations for 10-Qs / 10-Ks
Improve and manage the quarterly timetable for external reporting including reporting requirements and timing
As system administrator of Workiva, own, maintain and drive improvements and efficiencies
Support coordination with internal/external counsel and external audit process, including preparation and review of supporting audit schedules
Preparation of the consolidated cash flows (GAAP, Free Cash Flow and Leveraged Free Cash Flow) and the preparation, review, and analysis supporting the quarterly Management Discussion and Analysis (MD&A)
Supports quarterly and annual earnings release preparation of investor materials
Prepares, records, analyzes, and reports technically advanced accounting transactions, including but not limited to, stock compensation, goodwill and intangible assets, including impairment reviews, acquisitions, 409A valuations, and capital structuring initiatives
Proactively identifies inefficiencies and drives the process improvements to streamline consolidations and external reporting processes
Collaborates with partners in Business Finance, Financial Planning and Analysis, Treasury, Tax, and global operational accounting teams to ensure accuracy of external reporting and earnings releases
Partner with cross-functional business partners to support special projects and analyses on an ad-hoc basis, including system implementation, workflow automation and driving continuous process improvement
Designs, documents, implements, and maintains a strong internal control environment including effective accounting policies, procedures and SOX404 controls over external reporting while ensuring internal controls are designed and operating effectively
Skills You Will Need Here:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required, CPA preferred
5+ years of progressive responsibilities and related experience, preferably a mix of public and private accounting
Experience with Hyperion applications, SAP, Workiva and XBLR, a plus
Self-motivated with ability to manage fluctuating workload and strict deadlines
Careful attention to detail and the ability to organize
Advanced skills in Excel/spreadsheet modeling, including use of v-lookups and pivot tables
Ability to research accounting guidance and provide preliminary viewpoints
Team player - comfortable operating within a dynamic, complex organizational structure and ability to be flexible and collaborate with team on different projects and needs
Ability to succeed in a multi-priority, fast-paced and changing environment and readiness to embrace and successfully drive/implement change
Strong communication, analytical skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams
