Description
This role is responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and monitoring procurement capabilities to provide business solutions that are globally effective & applicable. Capabilities include standard lean processes, global market understanding, digital tools, and platforms. In addition, this role is accountable for performing user acceptance testing, standard work development, providing required training, coaching, and necessary materials.
Specifically, as the Digital Product Owner, you can expect to:
Serve as the lead digital product owner enabling the source to contract transformation, including collecting VOB/VOC, business process alignment, functional requirements, business rules, and workflow development are delivering a world-class customer experience based on customer value maximization and waste elimination. The module scope includes Sourcing, Category Workbench, and Item Master.
Work directly with a wide range of Caterpillar's Strategic Procurement & Planning Division (SPPD) team members, enterprise representatives, and suppliers including presenting recommendations to senior divisional leaders.
Own the quality of designed workflows to ensure successful deployment through training and coaching users to drive adoption. Use analytic tools to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Manages process partner groups or deployment sites through the "delta-dip" process and technology change.
Recommend areas for proactive service offering improvements.
Collects and interprets voice of the customer information to direct new and enhanced service offerings.
This position may serve as process owner and subject matter expert for the developed solutions.
The successful candidate must bring (Basic Qualifications):
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
At least 5 years of IT/procurement/supply chain experience, specifically related to sourcing & category management
Top candidates will also bring:
Strong technical background working with application development or support
Strong collaboration skills demonstrated through working within the workgroup, across departments, functional roles.
Masters' degree in business, computer science, information systems, or related disciplines.
Advance knowledge of Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Project.
Change Management Certification
Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
Experience in direct procurement, GIS, or supply chain roles.
Additional Details:
The location of this position is in Dallas, Texas or Peoria, Illinois
Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Any relocation costs incurred would be the responsibility of the selected candidate.
This position may require up to 10% travel.
