Job Summary
With minimal supervision, manage and expedite the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies. Set and communicate deadlines for deliverables. Verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments and their rates. Mark identifying information and shipping instructions on containers. Contact vendors via mail, phone, or in person to request materials and confirm or ensure shipments are made on agreed dates. Arrange for the distribution of materials upon arrival. Inspect products for both quality and quantity to ensure they meet specifications. Support schedules and requirements to ensure customer satisfaction.
Roles and Responsibilities
Load, unload, and move materials within the plant, yard, or work site, including manually loading and unloading materials onto/from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves.
Use hand tools such as steel cutters, crowbars, and claw hammers to open containers.
Transport materials from storage or work sites to designated areas using hand trucks, electric dollies, wheelbarrows, or similar equipment.
Arrange and secure materials into bundles, binding them with a banding machine and clincher.
Construct crates for housing products like machines or vehicles using hand tools and pre-cut lumber.
Basic Qualifications
U.S. citizenship required.
High school diploma or equivalent, with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
California: $25.00/Hour - Non-Exempt position
