Pineapple Street Studios is looking to hire a Full-Time Audio Engineer!
Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
This Engineer will work as a part of Pineapple's Sound & Engineering Team, with a focus on engineering, sound design, and music. They will be working
closely with producers, hosts, guests, and composers to shape inspiring and interesting audio stories. Work will include a variety of productions,
including long-form narratives, chat formats, film/tv companion pieces, and branded content. Engineer will support and lead production teams in best
recording, editing, mixing, sound design, and audio restoration practices, with a keen ear for detail. This position will report to Pineapple Street Studio's Head of Sound & Engineering.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Main point of contact for show's daily engineering needs
Mixing/mastering shows
Engineering recording sessions, including remote sessions via platformssuch as Zoom and Riverside
Sound designing and audio world-building
Working with music and stems
Building and troubleshooting of audio systems
Setting up hosts and guests for recording
Implementing audio specs and standards
Running in-house studios (covid-permitting)
Guiding producers and talent through best technical practices
Mentoring and training junior engineers
Knowing when to flag or escalate technical issues
Editing
Audio restoration
Archiving and organizing audio
Qualifications
About You:
4-6 years of experience recording, editing, and mixing podcasts, film/tv, broadcast, and/or music
Expert troubleshooting experience, accustomed to solving technical problems in pressurized enviornments with calm and confidence
Knowledge of audio restoration software and techniques
Experience working with high-profile talent
Familiarity mixing for various formats and specifications
Positive team mentality
High level Pro Tools skills
Deep understanding of various microphones, gain structure, and phase
Experience with a variety of analog and digital equipment
Ability to adapt to technology, e.g. Mac, PC, iOs, Android, Google Suite, Microsoft Office
Strong organizational thinking
Leadership skills to mentor assistant engineers, apprentices and interns
A passion for audio excellence
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, especially working with strong-willed creative talent and A-list talent
Demonstrated ability to organize multiple projects at once and work across geographically-dispersed teams
Ability to work collaboratively, with multiple people of different opinions, backgrounds and experiences
Enthusiasm about creating an equitable workplace
Experience with sound design, music composition, and other DAW's is a bonus!
