TheSenior Program Manager for Advanced Technology Acquisitionwill be part of a dynamic team supporting major systems acquisition, research and engineering on behalf of the Office of the Secretary of Defense at the Pentagon and Mark Center offices in nearby Arlington (Crystal City), Virginia (Hybrid Schedule) . This position is contingent upon your ability to maintain/transfer your DoD Top-Secret/SCI clearance.
Serco supports the Multi-Domain Joint Operations (MDJO) for Research and Engineering (OUSD (R&E)). The mission of MDJO organization is to identify and transition technologies that close time-critical gaps in high-priority, multi-component warfighting missions.
You will be part of a team responsible for highly consequential engagements with stakeholders impacting national security and the defense capabilities of the United States.You will work closely with customers and other Serco teams to deliver quality solutions, recognized by DoD and industry as outstanding contributions in engineering program and risk management across the Defense enterprise.

In this role, you will:
Lead the execution of a Congressionally directed program to acquire and field advanced technologies from small businesses and other non-traditional defense contractors
Manage program funding provided to small businesses that enable the transition of advanced technologies from development, across the acquisition -Valley of Death,- into production
Lead the solicitation, evaluation, and selection of specific technology initiatives that delivery warfighting capabilities to close time-critical gaps in high-priority DoD missions
Prepare and deliver status reports to Congress and DoD leadership
Qualifications
To be successful in the role, you will have:
A U.S. citizenship
An active Top-Secret clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (SCI) and Special Access Programs (SAP)
A Bachelor's degree
15 or more years of relevant work experience supporting the DoD or Intelligence Community
The ability to develop high-quality, professional briefings and written reports to succinctly capture key issues for DoD decision-makers and Congress
Experience in system acquisition to include development, integration, production, and fielding of capabilities
Expert knowledge of DoD Acquisition processes and current acquisition pathways
Experience building and managing acquisition documentation, interfacing with contracting and financial managers, and assisting with monitoring program execution
Experience overcoming systemic technology transition challenges associated with the DoD acquisition -Valley of Death-
The ability to travel 10%
