This opportunity entails being responsible for developing, proactively managing the implementation, and ensuring project team adherence to the design quality management plan in strict accordance with contractual requirements and HNTB Standards of Performance.
The position is located within the Client's Transportation Engineering Research Laboratory where the ideal candidate will assist with the formation, implementation, and auditing of quality processes and procedures. The Transportation Engineering Research Laboratory is responsible for evaluating traffic control devices before they can be used along Florida's roadways.
What You'll Do:
Applies internal control concepts to a wide variety of information technology processes and asseses the risks resulting from ineffective or missing control practices.
Regular and ah-hoc reporting to client management with analyses, appraisals, recommendations from audit activities.
Identifies operational and compliance risks that affect information systems security design and processing as well as ranks those risks and formulates recommendations that are appropriate, practical and cost-effective.
Manages and maintains effective working relationships with all level of the client's management and technical staff as well as fellow consulting team members.
Supports and uses existing clients' audit software and processes to fulfill audit functions and uses these as a system of follow-up controls to ensure responsive consideration and action on audit findings and recommendations.
Reviews the design of major new enterprise information systems and major modifications of those systems before their deployment to ensure adequate audit trails and accountability.
Performs other duties as required or assigned.
What You'll Need:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT Auditing or IT Security or related field
3 years auditing, IT security design or systems analysis experience
What We Prefer:
Established experience with quality systems, process auditing, or systems engineering
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Great understanding of the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing and the Code of Ethics published by the Institute of Internal Auditors
Work as an integrated team member with client and other consulting team members
ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification or ability to be certified within 6 months of hire
ASQ Quality Auditor certification or ability to be certified within 12 months of hire
