This position is located out of the San Luis Obispo, CA office.
A great opportunity for a student to get an inside peek at global supply chain and logistics workings in this extreme 'climate' we are in right now. This is an opportunity to gain understanding of how this side of the business rolls up into management/financial reporting and further informs how we serve our customers and price our products.
Populate historical container info on In Transit Report (project)
Populate added ITR shipments & digitally file container documents (ongoing)
Scrub PO report (flagging/matching dates) (ongoing)
Flag PO lines and container shipments that are out of 'spec' for follow-up by team and eventually they should be able to do some of the follow-up themselves.
Additional duties can be added as we assess the candidate's abilities and efficiency in getting through what is already on the plate.
Intern should expect to work ~15 hours/ week
Moderate or better excel skills - not beginner
Problem solving skills / analytical
Good communication skills. Be able to ask questions!
Be responsible: good attendance, have integrity & accountability
