This opportunity entails working alongside a team of developers, engineers and analysts responsible for a specific product or product line. Supports team-oriented, client-driven, and results driven values. Identifies, designs, and reviews recommendations of new technology related business opportunities and solutions. Supports the process of taking new technologies from original concept through final implementation. Works with clients and technology office staff to assess the solution's applicability, functionality, and viability; provides critical analysis to senior management.

What You'll Do:

  • Assists in the development of marketing and collateral material relating to technology services or products. Contributes to business development efforts, including calculation of cost, risk, and scope, and assist in preparation of responses to RFPs, RFIs and RFQs by providing expertise on specialized products.

  • Supports technology projects and products and/or leads specific to technical or functional portions of a project. Supports scope of work and objectives; estimates project costs and assists in the preparation of proposals and contracts. Actively supports project budget, schedule, communications and documentation.

  • Provides timely reporting of issues that impact project progress, coordinates corrective actions, and resolves conflicts.

  • Advocates for internal and external clients by supporting user groups and acting as a liaison between users and technology office.

  • Works with clients, internal HNTB resources, including other Delivery Technology resources, and IT to identify, analyze, design, develop and implement fully integrated solutions of moderate to high complexity that support HNTB's products, service and/or business processes.

  • Applies business skills and consulting methodologies to collect and analyze data to determine the applicability, functionality, and viability of new technologies.

  • Researches new and emerging technologies, assesses feasibility applications to current and future business needs. Analyzes industry trends and recommends adjustments.

  • Develops detailed documentation of business systems and user needs, including workflow, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify compute programs or systems.

  • Reviews use cases and other technical documents with technology office project staff to ensure business requirements are adequately reflected in technical planning. Defines, develops and implements quality assurance practices and end user test plans.

  • Ensures process and documentation accurately reflect the current status of changes and outstanding issues so that business requirements reflect application features and functions. Identifies training and development requirements of user groups and provide support when required by designing and developing training initiatives

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental), Drafting, Architecture, Urban Planning, or IT

  • 7 years related experience

The approximate pay range for California is $97,575.45 - $173,429.55. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual's qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as physical work location within the state.
