Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking an experienced electrical or computer engineer who designs and develops automated testing in our state of the art manufacturing facility. Emphasis will be on creating and implementing automated testing strategies on RF and Digital products, as well as completed radio systems. Other responsiblities will include fixture design, PCB design, automated software development, documentation, and training. We look forward to welcoming new members to our highly collaborative new product introduction teams.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for implementing and maintaining cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting equipment and systems
Performs engineering RF/analog/digital design and measurement tasks as well as operational tests and fault isolation on radio systems
Uses a variety of test and measurement equipment to evaluate radio equipment performance
Create test strategies and specifications for new and revised assemblies
Prepare test and diagnostic software, design test fixtures, complete test procedures for new and existing products
Develop, debug, optimize test software using National Instruments LabVIEW and TestStand
Document test hardware and software using computer based tools
Instruct technicians in the completion of test requirements as described above
Ensures production goals & metrics are met from a test perspective
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant ngineering experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related engineering experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related engineering experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Electrical or test engineering experience
Experience with automation systems including electronic test
NI LabVIEW/TestStand development experience (CLAD or CLD certification).
Experience working in an Agile Scrum development process.
Experience in digital, analog, and RF circuitry design/troubleshoot.
Measurement of key performance parameters using analyzers, generators, oscilloscopes, and meters.
Understanding of software defined radio products and communications.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $89,000- $165,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
