Lube Tech - Waste Connections

Job Description

Sanitary Disposal, a Waste Connections site in Hermiston, OR has an immediate position open for a Lube Technician to perform preventative maintenance on our fleet of 60 pieces of Equipment. Individuals with 1+ years' experience working on heavy diesel trucks or those that have completed a Diesel Technology program are encouraged to apply.

Hours are Monday - Friday 10:00am to 6:30pm with occasional Overtime. Hourly Rate is $20.00/HR with an Increase of $1.50 After Six (6) Months of Employment and positive performance review.

Responsibilities include:

  • Performs repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services.

  • Utilizes vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.

  • Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.

  • Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.

  • Reviews, completes or assigns repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.

  • Performs maintenance related work as required.

  • Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.

  • Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.

  • Ability to effectively communicate needed repairs or tasks.

    The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 1+ year experience in heavy truck equipment maintenance and repair or completion of a diesel tech program

  • Class B CDL or the ability to obtain one within 90 days of employment.

  • Provide personal tools.

  • Proficiency in vehicle and equipment diagnosis and repair.

  • Ability to read and comprehend service and technical information.
