This position is contingent upon your ability to obtain and maintain an Interim DoD Secret level clearance post-employment.
Our team is led by a Program Manager and Deputy Program Manager, each having decades of experience working in the DoD and Shipbuilding Industry. Our Amphibious Warfare Operation provides critical services to nearly all U.S. Navy amphibious ships and craft.

You will work closely with Government and industry professionals as well as shipbuilders and other support personnel. Bring your expertise and collaborative skills to make an impact towards our military defense and safety of our sailors and marines.
In this role, you will:
Support the Test Division in test services including Aviation Systems (IFF and TACAN) installation, light off, software installation, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance/repair, integration repair, integration, engineering, and technical support for ships at the building yard. Support may include:
Provide on-site test engineering and technical support for ship industrial testing.
Establish and maintain an effective liaison with Supervisor of Shipbuilding and with other Navy, Government, and Contractor activities as required.
Participation in at sea testing is required of all test personnel. Underway Trials and travel support of Post Delivery Availabilities and Testing at other locations such as Norfolk VA, San Diego CA, Mayport FL, Pearl Harbor HI and Sasebo Japan will be required.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A High-school Degree/GED and 7 years of relevant experience with Aviation systems (IFF and TACAN) troubleshooting, repairing, and testing of associated equipment and system. Individuals with college degrees or technical school or military certifications will be considered.
Must be able to obtain an Interim DoD Secret clearance post-employment.
United States (U.S.) citizenship.
Ability to operate personal computers and have good knowledge and operational abilities with Microsoft Office tools.
Ability to support activities in a shipyard or naval facility. Some work may occur within an industrial field office, outdoors and/or aboard ship while the ship is undergoing construction, alteration, activation, overhaul, repair, and/or underway trials. Walking and climbing throughout the ship, to accomplish ship checks, may be required. Exposure to high noise levels, uncomfortable temperatures, heights, or other industrial safety conditions will require use of personal protective clothing and equipment.

Additional desired experience and skills:
Relevant U.S. Navy or U.S. Coast Guard experience in the areas of ship construction or ship repair is desired. Amphibious warship ship and/or craft construction or ship repair work experience is ideal.
Bachelor's level degree in an Engineering discipline is desired.
Experience is desired supporting DoD/Navy ACAT I Programs
