Spouse Education and Career Opportunities (SECO) is a Department of Defense program designed to assist military spouses and surviving spouses with education and career planning. SECO services are accessed and branded through the Military OneSource (MOS) program. MOS is the branded Employee Assistance Program for DoD military beneficiaries.
The Military Spouse Employment Partnership (MSEP) is a component of MOS SECO. The MSEP is made up of more than 335 partners that represent a diverse portfolio. Though the majority of the partners are employment partners some primarily provide resources for military spouses and their families. As the partnership continues to grow, the needs of the partners evolve based on the size of the company, hiring needs, company culture and other factors. Therefore, personnel should be adaptive to the needs of the MSEP Partner.
You will be part of a large, geographically dispersed team that works closely with Serco program management team and other Serco teams to deliver quality services to our military/government customer and military spouses.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Review job openings of employers in the Military Spouse Employment Partnership to find positions that best fit interests and qualifications of spouses
Identify potential matches between the spouse and MSEP employers based on the spouse's geographic location, education, experience and career goals
Develop and share a list of customized job leads to assist military spouses in their search for employment; create Career Journey Maps containing MyCAA opportunities with MSEP partner hiring needs and opportunities
Liaise on behalf of the military spouse with Career Advisors, Career Coaches, MSEP Partner Specialists, and MSEP partners
Collaborate with Federal Employment Navigators, Outreach Specialists, and Data Analysts to research and identify good-fit potential partner profiles based on existing partners, hiring patterns, military spouse characteristics and relevant data sets; document hiring trends among MSEP partners
Identify and communicate hot jobs to military spouse matches and Career Advisors, Career Coaches, Installation Specialists, Outreach Specialists for awareness and distribution to respective stakeholders
Collaborate with Communications Specialists on marketing, web, and social media materials regarding Job Search Navigation services
Interface with MSEP partners, military spouses, and installation personnel to promote and increase awareness of Job Search Navigator services
May assist with ad hoc webinars and program briefings upon request; track and report requests and assistance provided; enter data into tracking system
Performs QC Inspector tasks as assigned and performs QC activities in accordance with the quality management plan
Other duties may be assigned
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Professional Development.
Four (4) years of military program or corporate experience
Experience in outreach and awareness, communication, education, career, human resources, partnership development or employment counseling related to the job description listed above.
Knowledge of the mobile military culture and lifestyle
Must be a United States (US) Citizen.
Must be able to obtain a favorable National Agency Check (NACI) (Desired - Active NACI)
Additional desired experience and skills:
Military leadership experience is a plus.
Articulates understanding of basic evaluation techniques and use of customer feedback to improve overall program effectiveness/impact.
Demonstrates the ability to manage multiple priorities, illustrates attention to detail, and shows evidence of being conscientious regarding deadlines.
Ability to work in a collaborative environment with remotely located team members.
An active DoD secret secruity clearance is preferred.
Work Location: REMOTE/Nationwide
