Division Description:
ITW Shakeproof Industrial Products (SIP) serves major OEMs and their tier suppliers direct and through distribution channels in the industrial market. SIP supplies metal stamped & cold headed fasteners totaling approximately $67M in revenue annually. Manufacturing / Warehouse locations include Milwaukee, WI; Broadview, IL; Watertown, WI; and Iron Ridge, WI.

Maintaining advanced engineering and manufacturing facilities in WI & IL.
Exchanging product, process and benchmarking information with sister units.
Continually improving processes, material, and designs to ensure every product exceeds customer specifications while providing unparalleled value.
The Manufacturing Engineer reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and is responsible for developing and implementing optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards; recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods and controls; coordinates manufacturing launch for new or revised products.
Primary Responsibilities:
Drives process improvement, problem resolution, project management and employee training.
Performs product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency.
Prepares and presents plans for the above and coordinate deployment including training of team members.
Assists in improving a system of production control, standard operating procedures, safety, quality control and training.
Performs research, design and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment.
Prepares and maintains detailed layouts of buildings and equipment.
Coordinates the manufacturing launch of new/revised products and equipment including establishing goals, training team members and evaluating results.
Designs, develops and tests and/or sources and cost-justifies various tools, machinery and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods.
Represents manufacturing on cross-functional teams.
Collaborate with engineering teams regarding product design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
All other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
4+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a commensurate level of experience with related products, preferred.
Experience and/or training in safe work environments, capital improvement, and machining or cold metal working, preferred.
Computer assisted design (CAD) proficiency in AutoCAD, or SolidWorks preferred.
Candidates must submit to a drug screen / physical and background check as part of the process.
