CTG is currently seeking mid to senior levelNetwork Engineersto join our team for a contract to hire opportunity in the financial services industry.
This is a remote opportunity with core business hours of 11am to 4pm Pacific time.
Must be willing to travel onsite to west coast and Alaska locations quickly on and participate in an on-call rotation every 5 weeks.
Experience with Cisco Switches and Palo Alto Firewall expertise are required for this role.
Location: Must be located inone of the following States to be considered for this opportunity: AK, AZ, CO, ID, NV, OR, WA.
Primary Functions:Responsible for assisting in the maintenance and support of voice and data communications devices, systems and services, firewall infrastructure and security for all external network connections. This includes remote access, intrusion detection, and proxy services of the credit union and its subsidiaries.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Network Support Analyst I duties and responsibilities.
Configure, install, and relocate telecommunications equipment to include: a. Communications circuits and peripheral equipment. b. Telephones, Voice Mail, and Call Center queues. c. Routers and terminal services. d. Firewalls, IPS, and IDS systems.
Perform intermediate communication system programming and modifications.
Perform preventative maintenance of voice and data communications equipment and monitoring network systems to include periodic systems backups.
Troubleshoot and resolve problems or irregularities in communication services and network performance issues.
Provide training for other analysts.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Associates degree required orCreditable Experience in Lieu of Education
Five years’ experience in voice and data communications experience including three years as a Network Technician I or equivalent.
CCNA, CCNP or higher certifications highly desirable.
Must have strong working knowledgeable of cabling standards, and best practices.
Must be proficient in the configuration and troubleshooting of CISCO routers, switches, and Palo Alto firewalls.
Should be familiar with network analyzers and management systems, including Sniffer and CiscoWorks.
Must have good communications and interpersonal skills.
