A South Miami company is seeking an Financial Analyst from an Insurance or Banking industry to join their team!
Description:
Responsible for facilitating the efficiency and effectiveness of financial activities within the company, guaranteeing the correct processing of accounts receivable and payable, according to the organization's policies, and adherence to accounting and tax compliance.
Prepare periodic financial reports and analyze significant variations in contrast to the company's budget and previous periods
Execute and monitor daily financial transactions, including payments, bank reconciliations, and accounting records.
Manage the periodic reconciliation of accounts payable with supplier account statements.
Ensure accuracy and timeliness in processing company accounts payable
Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on financial analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Review and maintain an accurate record of all transactions related to accounts receivable, including issuing invoices, tracking outstanding payments, and applying received payments to the accounting system
Responsible for managing the reconciliation of bank accounts, guaranteeing the integrity and consistency of the company's financial records.
Contribute to the development and implementation of systems and processes to improve operational efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting.
Participate in projects related to process improvements, implementation of financial systems or any other initiative aimed at improving the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.
Support finance led initiatives to drive performance improvement, compliance adherence and standardization of processes.
Support independent financial audits review conducted by external auditors and regulatory agencies.
Ensure the right control and segregation of duties are embedded in the day to day process to mitigate risk.
Provide financial data and analysis to support actuarial calculations and assumptions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance.
Must be bilingual (English & Spanish).
Experience in insurance or banking industry
