Summary You will serve as a Supervisory Supply Management Specialist in the Installation Support Department of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR PEARL HARBOR. A Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA) of 9.75% will be added to the stated salary Responsibilities You will serve as the Deputy Director responsible for overall management and operation of four products and services; Postal, Material Handling Equipment, NAVFAC Support, and Joint Personal Property Shipping Office operations within the command. You will review, analyze, and interpret regulatory policy and procedural directive to determine intent and application to each functional area. You will oversee supply support to NAVFAC Hawaii, including procurement, receipt, issue, and storage of supplies and procurement of services as allowed by regulation. You will complete functions such as entitlement counseling for Navy and Air Force personnel, shipment, storage, and vendor management of household goods and unaccompanied baggage for all military branches. You will resolve complex issues for each of the products and services managed within the department and contribute to program-wide process standardization and the introduction of program change recommendations. You will hear and resolve complaints from employees, make recommendations on appointments, and identify developmental and training needs of employees. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal service utilizing a comprehensive knowledge of equipment maintenance, supply and transportation management policies, regulations and procedures to analyze, evaluate and resolve complex issues/problems that are complicated by unusual requirements related to supply chain management, traffic management, and equipment maintenance programs. Supervisory experience must include directing, coordinating or overseeing work of team lead(s) and Supervisor(s); making recommendations on subordinate team leads and supervisory selections for appointments, promotions and reassignments or makes or approves selections for subordinate non-supervisory positions; as well as resolving employee complaint, addressing disciplinary issues and carrying out EEO policies and principles in the accomplishment of supervisory duties. Examples of specialized experience may include: 1) I utilize a knowledge of equipment maintenance, supply and transportation management policies, regulations, and procedures to serve as a technical advisor to senior leaders and make recommendations concerning Personal Property/Household Goods Movements and entitlements, Supply Chain Management support, and equipment maintenance for customers; 2) I assist in resolving complex supply and transportation program issues in order to plan and assist in developing new policy and program guidance.; 3) I have experience directing, coordinating, and overseeing work of Team Lead(s)/ supervisor(s) and resolving employee complaints.
