Description:
Ensure correct and timely payment of Accounts Payable, administration of Accounts Receivable, and perform miscellaneous accounting duties such as reconciliations and journal entries. The position also handles mailing and filing duties as assigned.
Job duties include but are not limited to the following:
Accounts Payable duties include - processing all invoices, stamping them with date received, ensure material or services has been received or performed, entering the invoiceinto the ERPsystem, ensure dollars and quantities match. Answering supplier questions and reconciling account balances to supplier statements. Prepares payment runs to settle the supplier invoices within the agreed payment terms in order to ensure uninterrupted supply of goods and services, including check/ACH/ and Wire runs.
Accounts Receivable duties include - Entering the sales invoices. Creating A/R aging schedules and work with the commercial team to ensure the A/R accounts are kept current. Entering all misc. bank deposits.
Responsible for select journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly closing tasks.
The incumbent will help maintain financial historical records by filing and securing all accounting documents.
Coordinates incoming and outgoing mail and other office duties as needed.
The position manages the completion of its own work assignments and coordinates work with others. Typical internal customers include the accountingwork group, supply chain work group, and immediate supervisor. The position's primary customers are internal.
Must adhere to all internal control policies to help mitigate financial risk to the business.
