WHO WE ARE

Artisanal Brewing Ventures (ABV) is a top 10 regional craft alcohol company in the US, made up of 5 long standing, successful craft brands. Currently we're made up of four breweries (Victory Brewing, Bold Rock, Sixpoint, Southern Tier Brewing) and one distillery (Southern Tier Distilling). We have locations in 5 states (NY, PA, OH, VA, NC) including taprooms, production facilities and our corporate headquarters.

WHAT WE DO

Our corporate teams support our family of brands through managing the -back office- work so the team members who support in the production of our products can focus on making great tasting, innovative quality craft beverages. Our shared services team is made up by accounting/finance, human resources, marketing, and sales, who are all skilled in their space and share a love of craft beverages.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

The Corporate FP&A Analyst will conduct, document, and communicate financial analyses. The individual will demonstrate a collaborative working style and possess a focus on partnering with the Company's business leaders. This role is primarily involved in the development & consolidation of the annual plan, monthly forecasts, and reporting and analysis of monthly financials. It also includes providing financial decision and support to functions. Numerous special project analyses will also be required.

Reports to: FP&A Director

  • Reports, analyzes, forecasts and interprets financial and operating data. This may include profit/loss analysis, cost analysis, project analysis, discounted cash flow, depreciation and any other ad-hoc analysis of interest to management.

  • Participates in the preparation and compilations of reported audited financial statements.

  • Participates in the preparation and compilation of the annual operating plan and quarterly forecast, which may include company-wide or functional area specific modeling, time-series analysis and graphical presentation of both operational and financial data.

  • Prepares complex financial analysis reports in a timely and accurate manner, and completes individual analytical projects in a satisfactory manner given abstract project guidelines.

  • Assists in the generation, preparation and review of executive reporting packages and board presentations.

  • Interprets and applies policies and procedures to new situations.

  • Advises on and recommends to management desirable operational adjustments, and interprets variances to prior periods and plan/forecast.

  • Partners with other finance organizations to interpret and analyze consolidated results and projections.

  • Develops key performance indicators and provides commentary on variances.

  • Performs ROI and discounted cash flow analysis on several types of projects.

    WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or business. MBA preferred.

  • 5+ years' experience in financial planning & analysis.

  • Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated.

  • Detail focused and high standards for accuracy and precision.

  • Advanced understanding of financial analysis and accounting policies, procedures, programs and processes.

  • Ability to manage numerous tasks and projects simultaneously in a rapidly changing environment.

  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Advanced PC skills including Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and advanced Excel modeling.

  • Proficient use of automated general ledger systems and reporting tools (SAP, Compete, Orchestrated BEER) a plus.

  • Advanced skills in the development of financial ratios and comparative analysis.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse environment and interact effectively with other groups and departments, clients and partners.

  • Willingness to continuously learn and be open top feedback to improve individual performance.

    Other Requirements

  • Candidate should be able and willing to lift at least 31.5 lbs. from ground level to a shelf 50 inches from the floor. The candidate should also be able to move 165 lbs. of kegged beer from one location to another by sliding it on the floor.

  • Selected candidate will be required to pass a post-offer, pre-employment background and driver's license check.

  • Adherence to safety policies and procedures of the worksite.

  • You must be at least 21 years of age.

  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).

  • Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.

    Alcohol Responsibility - The candidate must fully understand that they are a representative of not only the company, but of the alcohol beverage industry. They are to conduct themselves within the limits of the law and with concern to the education of responsible consumption at all times. This includes working hours, trade shows, festivals and while entertaining in the name of the company or its affiliates. Any poor reflection or legal matters that may arise due to poor judgment may be dealt with by means of disciplinary action up to and including termination.

    Supervisory Responsibility

    This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

    Physical Demands

    This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

    This is a full-time position. Days of work are typically Monday through Friday. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
