WSP USA is initiating a search for a Civil BIM Lead out of our New York, Virginia, or mutually agreed upon office.
The WSP Civil BIM Leader is responsible for implementing and supervising drawing and modeling standards, managing drawing production, and performing non-routine and complex drafting and modeling assignments through the use of various software programs, primarily Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks and Autodesk Construction Cloud. The Civil BIM Lead will report to WSP USA's National Transportation Digital Delivery team and is also responsible for implementing BIM initiatives throughout the NE Region such as providing guidance to staff with regards to training, company standards, and modeling.
Responsible for performing project BIM and Information Management functions for major transportation infrastructure projects, the Civil BIM Lead will be well versed in information management process and have previous experience leading multi-disciplinary project teams in all aspects of information production, delivery and exchange. The Civil BIM lead will also be responsible for managing BIM project delivery both internally and externally to WSP on projects and should have experience running coordination and production delivery meetings.
The position will require the user to be involved primarily with production work, and developing internal company workflows and standards. The BIM project leader will be involved directly with the Design Delivery teams, and should be able to translate that work to internal standards for the company.

Your Impact
Advanced knowledge of Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks, and Autodesk Construction Cloud, including advanced modeling, custom family creation, drawing package management, clash detection and scripting
Advanced knowledge of data information exchanges between Civil Design software and other disciplines
Advanced knowledge of Geo-referencing and internal coordinate workflows across various software (Infraworks, Revit, Civil 3D)
Experience with federating models from different authoring platforms for Visualization and Clash-Detection
Responsible for supporting the development of 3D models for Transportation and Infrastructure Design. Ramp and Bridge design knowledge preferred.
Ability to create custom blocks and families to accurately reflect the Design
Ability to anticipate and recognize issues related to own work.
Ability to gather appropriate resources in order to solve problems.
Self-educates and mentor other drafting staff, as well as engineers in BIM techniques.
Assists project/design managers by providing input on schedule and production tasks.

Implement drawing organization for large, complex drawing packages across multiple companies.
Facilitates collaboration and clash detection for a large, multi-discipline project team across multiple companies.
Troubleshoots general Civil 3D/Revit project-related issues with limited assistance of department management.
Participates in Civil 3D/Revit development.
Develops and mentors staff on WSP Revit standards and processes.
Self-Checks own work, and staff's, to identify QA/QC improvement opportunities.
Leverages tools and technology to provide quality solutions to BIM team and staff.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in closely related discipline (or equivalent experience.)
10+ years' experience using Civil3D & Revit technologies within the A/E/C industry
8 + years' experience with Navisworks and Revit documentation and management
Experience and understanding of document management applications (Sharepoint, Newforma, Dropbox, BIM 360, etc.)
Proven ability to understand and recognize complex design problems.

Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree is preferred.
Essential professional licensure/certification.
Experience with MS Dev, PowerApps, and Power BI
Experience with hands-on implementation of Digital Delivery & Information Management
Autodesk Certified Professional in Revit
Previous work experience with Design Delivery in T&I Projects
Previous Civil 3D and ESRI implementation experience

Compensation
Expected Salary (all locations): $97,000 - $180,000
