The Glass Manager is the leader for manufacturing plant functions for the glass department. Partners with upstream and downstream teams to make the right decisions to ensure overall plant success in Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost. As a key member of the plant leadership team, the Glass Manager will foster an environment of continuous improvement across all levels of the plant starting at the shop floor employee. _OBJECTIVES:_ * Meets targets in safety, quality delivery and cost. * Develops a continuous improvement culture within and outside of the department * Develops a team and culture that results in a high performing collaborative team and a work environment that attracts new talent and retains top talent from shop floor employees to supervisors. * Ensures compliance with company policies through effective communications, coaching, training, and development. _DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:_ * Leads by living integrity, inspiring others, creating energy, and ensuring collaboration amongst all levels of the organization * Develops and coach's team and selects top talent to continuously improve individual and team capability * Ensures daily results are met and continuous improvement activities are occurring using a defined management system that fosters communication and accountability across all levels of the plant teams. * Demonstrates compassion and empathy for all employees creating effective communication and listening channels inside and outside of department. _EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:_ * Bachelor's degree (B.A/S.) in Business, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain or a related field or equivalent * Financial and operations acumen and employee engagement are highly critical for this role. * Clearly exhibits strong leadership experience through mature hiring practices, performance management and leadership development * Successful professional record of working effectively in a matrix organizational structure * Have experience in leading using key lean management principles Recruiters: Please note that Associated Materials, Alside and any of its affiliated companies does not seek or accept unsolicited resumes or offers of recruiting service associated with any published or unpublished employment opportunities.
