Job Description
As a member of the finance team, the Accounting Clerk is responsible for tasks associated with accounts receivable, accounts payable and other clerical duties. The Accounting Clerk reports to the ITWSF Accounting Manager responsible for Kalkaska, MI.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable function including invoicing, customer returns, cash receipts, credit management and collections.
Accounts Payable function including matching of vendor invoices to receiving papers and processing payables for disbursement.
Review procurement card purchases and prepare the monthly journal entry.
Update and distribute daily sales report, responsible for assigned corporate reporting (EHS, Sales & Use Tax, other as assigned).
Assist with month-end closing process - reconcile AP and AR subledger with general ledger, create and post assigned month-end journal entries.
Ensure records of responsibility are maintained in accordance with ITW Record Retention policy.
Responsible for general office support - answering the telephone, sorting/distribution of mail, greeting visitors/guest, and manage office equipment.
Skills and Qualifications:
Associates degree in Accounting or Finance with (2) years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must demonstrate behaviors consistent with organizational values including integrity, simplicity, trust, respect, and shared risk.
Possess level of financial acumen required to favorably contribute to the finance department by identifying areas for improvement and delivering results.
Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities while at the same time maintaining attention to detail.
Ability to effectively assess a situation and determine the best path to resolution.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Intermediate Excel skills at a minimum (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP's, formula functions).
