Technicians are also responsible for engaging local vendors for the purpose of completing repairs they cannot do. Technicians may be called upon to assist in inspections of renovations and new construction.Essential FunctionsResponsible for preventive and reactive maintenance in multiple child care facilitiesPhysically complete repairs as needed and requested through work orders submitted by center staffOperate a laptop computer/tablet and smartphone for the purposes of collecting work orders, producing schedules and submitting time records;Comfortable with the Microsoft Office Suite;Operates a company vehicle for the purpose of completing assigned tasks;Other related duties as assigned.Regular schedule is Monday-Friday Daytime hoursFlexible to work some evenings or weekends as needed or assignedSome overnight travel possible, not required in all areasQualificationsHigh school diploma/GED requiredTrade/vocational training preferred or three years of on the job experience in maintenance under the same or similar working conditionDetail oriented and organizedMust be able to manage time efficientlyKnowledge of child care facilities helpful but not criticalStrong communication skillsSelf-motivated and able to work with minimal supervisionQualify to operate a company vehicle based on a motor vehicle record check and company requirementsMust pass national and state criminal background checksOur highest priority has always been to keep our employees, children, families, and communities as safe and healthy as possible.
