Position Summary

The Data Scientist Workforce Planning and Analytics will utilize AI technologies to establish data science practices that enable predictive and prescriptive insights from our workforce data. The responsibilities will require formulating clear understanding of the business problem through collaboration with stakeholders and designing end-to-end data solutions tailored to goals. Typical data science development projects will include forecasting KPI performance into future time periods, modeling impact of business decisions, and automating analysis for faster access to performance insights. The ideal candidate should have deep experience in developing data driven solutions and expertise in conventional and state of the art Machine Learning (ML) and AI technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize AI technologies to establish data science practices within the team, enhancing the speed, accuracy, and scalability of data analysis and insight generation

  • Lead data science projects through collaboration with stakeholders to understand their business objectives and provide data-driven solutions tailored to these goals

  • Design end-to-end data solutions ensuring descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics capabilities are being made available

  • Develop data science models that enable forecasting, decision impact modeling, and automated insight generation

  • Build data visualizations to enable performance tracking and insights by stakeholders

  • Present analytical insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical peers and leaders to influence workforce decision-making

  • Monitor data science models to maintain data integrity and accuracy of predictive and prescriptive insights

Job Requirements

  • Bachelors' or above in quantitative discipline: MIS, Data Science, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in the following fields: Data Engineer, Analytics Development, Data Science, or Business Intelligence Development

  • Experience performing data analysis to identify meaningful insights that drive decision-making and shape strategy

  • Experience and deep understanding of statistical analysis, experimentation design, and common analytical techniques like regression, decision trees

  • High Proficiency in:

    • SQL

    • Python

    • Machine learning, statistical regression, and decision trees

    • Data visualization platforms such as Tableau, Power BI or similar.

  • Proven ability to succeed in collaborative environments with cross-functional stakeholders and also in independent work environments

  • Proven ability to communicate clearly and effectively to audiences of varying technical levels

  • Flexibility to function in a full stack data development capacity including ad-hoc analysis and visualization development as needed

  • Experience with Oracle HCM Analytics platform preferred
