Job Summary:
Caterpillar IT GCIO SD&D has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager/Scrum Master to lead future Parts Pricing Modernization project. As Senior project manager, you will work directly with business and application teams to define project charters and to design, develop, and implement as defined by the charter. You will provide guidance and ensure that future tool will meet customer expectations. You will also ensure the team meets its goals on time and within budget as well as managing integrations across multiple systems. We are looking for a candidate with experience as a project manager or scrum master and who also has strong experience in Software engineering. This role also requires collaboration with various partners such as product owners, business partners, IT Architects, and development teams.
What You Will Do:
Collaborates with our business partners and product owners to define project charters and to gather business requirements. You will also create, prioritize, and drive changes in relation to the product road map.
Identifies, documents, and reports design, business requirements. Gathers and consolidates feedback from customers and business users.
Coordinates with IT Architects and development teams to communicate business requirements and to track development.
Plan and lead all Agile methodology events and provide regular feedback to product owners and stakeholders.
Answers product owners, stakeholders and downstream application support questions; provides guidance and support for product integration and infrastructure issues.
Anticipate complex business problems or process optimization opportunities, identify alternatives, and recommend the best solutions working closely with global functional teams and Enterprise Architecture.
Ensure resource allocations across the program are optimized.
Adapt to diverse business climates.
Basic qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or 5+ years of relevant experience
At least 5+ years of IT experience
Strong project management skills and team leadership skills
Deep knowledge in both waterfall and agile project management methodologies and the tools that support them
Top candidates will have proven experience in the following:
Current or prior experience deploying large solutions with major business transformation focus.
Good Effective Communications skills: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Good Software Development skills: Knowledge of software development tools and activities; ability to produce software products or systems in line with product requirements.
Experience with designing or developing software applications for cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Equivalent.
Utilizing CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps
Experience with databases such as Snowflake, MySQL, IBM DB2, ...
Agile Scrum Master certification
