The Sr Manager, Product Marketing is responsible for achieving the revenue and digital goals for their product portfolio by developing and implementing effective, results oriented marketing campaigns. The Sr Manager, Product Marketing is responsible for a portfolio and also provides leadership and management of the product marketing team, which may include Marketing Managers, Associate Marketing Managers, and Marketing Specialists, while also leading their team in collaborating with Product, Digital and Sales partners to achieve business objectives. What you'll do here: + Lead team in the development of data-driven, innovative marketing plans that leverage standard methodologies in demand gen and sales enablement. Campaigns will have a strong emphasis on customer engagement, lead generation and lead conversion. + Lead all aspects of their team's execution of marketing plans in collaboration with Marketing Communications, Marketing Operations, Digital Marketing, Marketing Programs, and the rest of the larger global marketing team. + Have a deep understand of current marketing tools and tactics and lead their team in implementing integrated campaigns. + Collaborate with Product as an integral part of the product development team, attending all key strategy meetings to influence the direction of the portfolios during development and ensure market advantages and differentiation. + Hold team accountable to providing market analysis which results in the identification of growth opportunities and effective positioning and value propositions, and how those translate into financial growth and long-term brand advantages. + Provide thought leadership on pricing, business model strategies, and setting business goals for assigned portfolio. + Collaborate with Sales, and lead marketing team in providing strategic support to Sales in opening and closing business. + Lead team in the development of effective sales enablement strategies, tools, and tactics to empower the Sales team to be successful with their product portfolio. + Lead highly dedicated team to achieve operating and strategic goals through ongoing feedback, coaching, training, and support. Perform all recruiting and hiring. + Ensure that broad, Cengage marketing and corporate strategies are accurately reflected and supported by marketing efforts for the portfolio. + Work with senior leadership on the analysis and creation of strategies across the organization. Skills you'll need here: + 5+ years marketing experience + BA or BS + Demonstrated strategic agility. Consistent track record with strategy creation and execution. + Strong attention to detail and organization skills. + Experience organizing and successfully running major events. + Knowledge and experience in marketing automation and how it fits into the larger picture of a marketing strategy. + Strong sense of navigating social networks to get results. + Excellent oral and written communications skills (strong presentation skills a requirement). Preferred + Undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing, or Communications, or equivalent theoretical depth. + MBA + Marketing experience with digital products in the education space.
