Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:
Receives Instruction from Supervisor as to work to be performed.
Hooks up to position and removes plates/pipes on plasma/flame cutting beds, shear table, and/or press.
Aligns plates and operates shear in shearing plate to size. Adjust shear blade to thickness to shear.
Lights torch, operates control and flame cuts to specified dimensions
Manually stamps/marks plates and pipe for identification
Manually or machine cuts scrap and cuts identifies tests.
Keeps immediate work area in clean and orderly condition
Lubricates and cleans equipment daily
Observes all safety and shop rules
Assist and/or trains new employees in job classification
Participation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities
Payrate $21.71/hour
Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:
Education
Experience
1 to 2 years' experience in plasma and manual cutting
Competent in reading, interpreting drawings and capable of performing simple math calculations (addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication).
Physical Demands:
Lifting (30-35 lbs.), manufacturing floor environment
Regularly required to sit or stand, reach, bend and move about the facility
Regularly required to listen, talk to, and see employees on a daily basis.
