Job Description:
Member of the software team who will have an opportunity to develop software for a diverse customer base across the commercial and military aerospace segments. They will perform assignments requiring the use and application of moderate software engineering principles and techniques and analyze software requirements and design of the system applications in support of aviation programs. This position requires the ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with peers and management. This individual must be able to communicate, both written and verbal, with employees at all levels in the organization, and must have excellent problem solving, data analysis and decision-making skills.
Essential Functions:
Ability develop and certify embedded software (C, C++) for safety critical avionics systems up to DAL A which includes developing requirements, design and verification test certification artifacts.
Significant experience with Python and PyQt for software development and verification test automation.
Significant experience with DO-178B/C
Experience with DOORS (including DXL scripting)
Experience with NXP and TI ARM based SoC processors
Qualifications:
Requires strong knowledge of job area. Typically viewed as having a specialty within discipline. May have broad knowledge of project management. Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
Ability to design and develop embedded software for avionics systems.
Understand, utilize, and improve internal processes and tools for the development of software
Performs tasks with general oversight and is cognizant and responsible for departmental goals (budgets, operational plans, etc.).
Responsible for providing guidance, coaching and training to other employees.
Excellent ability to communicate technical issues verbally and in writing.
Attention to details very important. Must be comfortable with presentations and reviews to internal staff and external customers.
Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Suite programs.
Must be a US Citizen or a Green Card Holder
