Brand Strategy Manager

The Brand Strategy Manager is the central point of development and coordination for Georgia Power's brand story. The Brand Strategy Manager will direct all aspects of marketing and advertising programs including strategy, campaign execution, content, community management, advocacy responses, and analytics and reporting. This role will lead the Brand Strategy team and will report to the Brand Director.

The successful candidate must be a seasoned, advertising leader who is passionate about leading a team in ideating and executing best in class integrated marketing campaigns.

The position is based out of Georgia Power Corporate Headquarters in Atlanta, and currently allows for a hybrid work environment depending on departmental needs.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, related discipline, or other appropriate experience

  • 5 years' experience in strategy, with an emphasis on brand building; PR and/or agency experience preferred

  • 3 years of supervisory experience; passionate people leader with demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams

  • Acts as a brand steward driving marketing efforts including implementing and developing strategy, managing campaigns, and reporting on results - all with the goal of building brand equity and driving audience engagement and sentiment

  • Be an authority for the brand, ensuring brand consistency across campaigns

  • Collaborates with multiple cross-functional teams to define and expand the brand and its connection to culture and community

  • Proven experience in development of successful television advertising, managing large advertising budgets, complex timelines and domestic shoots

  • Familiar with media planning and buying

  • Possession of excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills

  • Experience managing multiple agencies, projects, deadlines, vendors and contracts

  • Must be able to contribute ideas in a creative atmosphere and guide others on the overall brand vision

  • Ability to maximize organic reach with, and experience using paid social, digital and traditional media tactics

  • Experience driving customer and market research, both a quantitative and qualitative mindset, and an ability to synthesize and present findings to other teams and executives

  • Passionate about analytics and knows how to adjust brand campaigns based on research

  • Strong organizational and people skills, the ability to effectively create and deliver presentations, the ability to set appropriate priorities and use time effectively

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of brand strategists in the effort to protect, build and expand a trusted, authoritative, and recognizable brand among multiple target audiences

  • Provide thought leadership and corresponding excellence in execution on ads, media and social media

  • Drive multiple agency relationships and day-to-day agency process

  • Develop brand campaigns in accordance with measurable goals, objectives and overall resources

  • Prepare an overall budget for advertising and partnerships based on proven marketing strategies

  • Plan, develop, execute and improve advertising strategies and campaigns across all customer touch points to achieve key business objectives

  • Manage research partners, synthesize the data collected and report it to key stakeholders and executives to illustrate trends, success stories and pain points

  • Develop and implement an effective brand communication program to support the company's public image and positive reputation, as an innovator and industry leader
