Overview

Air Force Material Command's headquarters is located at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. The headquarters staff ensures the command successfully manages its research, development, acquisition, test and logistics services that keep Air Force weapon systems and warfighters ready for combat.

AFMC A3/6 (Air, Space and Information Operations (A3) Communications (A6)) has a mission to provide guidance and policy for all Command systems architectures of networks, legacy tools, emerging technologies, and future deployed solutions. Current methods for integrating the data, performing analysis and producing decision-quality reports are labor intensive.

FTI is seeking a highly talented individual to support our AFMC HQ program. This individual will provide support to Air Mobility Command with Electronic Flight Bag Management.

This individual will troubleshoot and resolve issues for mobile device management.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage AFMC's Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) program.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable Air Force and MAJCOM instructions and lead command memorandum of agreement/memorandum of understanding (MOA/MOU).

  • Attend teleconferences with other MAJCOMs.

  • Ensure AFMC EFB procedures remain in compliance with lead-command guidance.

  • Manitain security for all EFB devices.

  • Utilize ABM to purchase and distribute applications as required.

  • Monitor device compliance with approved baseline configuration.

  • Remotely update device operating systems as needed.

  • Coordinate any user-requested variation from the approved baseline with the appropriate lead command EFB Information System Security Manager (ISSM).

  • Assist lead-command EFB ISSMs with assigning AFMC units and personnel to the proper security groups and/or delegated rights groups.

  • Setup and maintain EFB networks (routers, firewalls, wireless access points, etc.) as required by the appropriate MAJCOM

Education/Qualifications

Obtain and maintain a DoD 8570 cybersecurity baseline IT certification of Information Assurance Technical Level II or higher (CompTIA Security+, for example).

Able to maintain a security clearnace.

  • GIAC GSEC

  • EC-Council CND

  • (ISC)2 SSCP
