You will be part of United States Air Force Central Command (USAFCENT) which is the Air Force Service Component of United States Central Command (USCENTCOM), a joint Department of Defense combatant command responsible for U.S. security interests in twenty-seven nations that stretch from the Horn of Africa through the Persian Gulf region, into Central Asia. Serco supports the US Air Force as a prime for their USAFCENT contract which is providing expertise in all aspects of tactical C2, data links and relays, deployable radar and radio systems, air control systems, integration with Host Nation systems, Battlespace Command and Control Center systems and mobile training suites to allow them to perform their missions successfully.

In this role, you will:

  • Assist with preparing deployment and operations plans for theater air control system units supporting USAFCENT missions.

  • Assist with writing and reviewing air defense C2 arrangements with joint service components, coalition and host nation partners and higher headquarters.

  • Provide C2 planning, to include participating in conferences and exercises, for AFCENT exercises and contingencies.

  • Provide pre-deployment, indoctrination, and familiarization training on AOR tactical C2.

  • Participate in teleconferences and video teleconferences with inter-agency, joint, coalition, foreign partners, and industry experts regarding tactical C2 issues.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • An active Top-Secret Clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Five years' experience with theater air control systems C2 systems.

  • Three years' experience at a Numbered Air Force or component command staff or higher level or other service equivalent.

  • Two years' experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications, e-mail systems, and Task Management Tool or equivalent.

  • The ability to Travel = 25%
