The HR Generalist facilitates various HR-related functions including: recruitment, hiring, onboarding, orientation, training, performance management, and associate engagementDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop and maintain the HRIS, learning management, and other electronic systems;Complete background checks, reference checks, and other screenings and ensure completion of I-9 forms and E-Verify;Maintain personnel records;Facilitate employee onboarding and orientation;Develop and maintain the training and professional development programs for employees;Assist managers and supervisors with performance management process;Process Unemployment claims;Review, update and ensure compliance with HR policies and programs;Oversee and train HR duties being performed at other locationsQUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or equivalent required;Bachelors degree related to the Human Resource Management field is preferred;At least 2 years of experience in human resources and 1 year of experience supervising others is preferredKNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:Ability to provide excellent customer service to employees and leadership;Must be able to work independently, set goals and monitor progress through completion;Skilled in effective communication both verbally and in writing to diverse workforce;Understanding of the employer's basic legal requirements in HR;Proficient in common word processing, spreadsheet, database and web based applications;Ability to work with information in a confidential manner
