Summary
The Technical Illustrator will work closely with the Electrical Systems Designer and Engineers to create 2D and 3D graphics and technical illustrations that will go into facilities manuals, including necessary illustrations and exploded views that adhere to company graphical publication standards and style guides.
Responsibilities
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.
Produces complex 3D and 2D perspective, isometric, and orthographic illustrations from blueprints, sketches, photographs, hardware, and oral/written descriptions that meet quality, technical accuracy, format, specifications, and requirements.
Works with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), engineers, mechanical and electrical designers to identify the most effective product and service illustration solutions that are highly accurate and complete.
Conducts research and source relevant technical illustration content by working in clean room laboratory and manufacturing floor environments.
Creating or modifying drawings and integrating data on the drawings utilizing Adobe Illustrator, AutoCAD and other software as needed to deliver technical illustrations and graphics.
Works collaboratively and effectively with others to promote innovative approaches and enhance productivity related to illustration development.
Learns complex technologies and tools rapidly to "hit the ground running" in the development of technical material.
Acquires the latest industry best practices and apply those to the workplace.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience and professional level capability in creating graphics with rule-based parametric or vibrational 2D/ 3D CAD modeling systems.
Expert knowledge and experience using: Siemens TeamCenter and NX, Pro/E, Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, SolidDesigner, and SoftImage and similar products for illustration creation.
Self-motivated, proactive, collaborative and authentic individual with passion for details and ability to multitask. Must be a quick learner, self-starter and have the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, high-tech environment.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills; ability to work cross-functionally with a global team to execute multiple project schedules.
Technical acumen with experience working in a high-tech engineering environment with knowledge of industrial equipment systems.
Candidates will be expected to provide a portfolio of their work.
10-15% travel required.

U.S. Salary Range:
$76,000.00 - $104,500.00
The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
