The Role

As a Senior Enterprise Architect with HII, you will be expected to possess a comprehensive skill set, combining technical expertise, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of both cybersecurity and broader IT domains. A strong foundation in all IT domains, including but not limited to network architecture, system design, cloud computing, data management, application development, and cybersecurity practices.

This position requires a deep understanding of emerging technologies, a proven track record in solution architecture, and a passion for driving solutions that propel HII forward. Your primary focus will be on the following:

Develop and maintain an enterprise-wide technology architecture roadmap aligned with business objectives.

Conduct comprehensive assessments of existing and emerging technologies relevant to HII's goals.

Analyze industry trends, competitor strategies, and market developments to inform technology decisions.

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technology requirements.

Design end-to-end solutions that integrate seamlessly with existing systems and infrastructure.

Ensure that architecture standards and best practices are adhered to throughout the solution development lifecycle.

Provide technical leadership during the implementation phase, ensuring alignment with architectural principles.

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business, IT and senior leadership to foster a collaborative and innovative technology environment.

Remote work considered for ideal candidate

Must Have

Bachelor's Degree and 14 years of relevant exempt experience or

Master's Degree and 12 years of relevant professional experience or

Ph.D. and 9 years of experience

Proven experience in a senior role focusing on IT systems, data architecture, engineering, intelligence, security, and governance.

In-depth knowledge of data security practices and compliance requirements.

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across various teams and departments.

Nice to Have

Relevant certifications (e.g. TOGAF, AWS, Security+)

Proficiency in architectural modeling and design tools

Experience in Department of Defense is a plus.

Deep understanding of cloud-based platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
