Job Description

Mission Technologies, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, is looking for an Administrative Assistant to support our Orlando, FL office. The qualified candidate will have experience working in an administrative capacity.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Performs normal office functions such as setting up and maintaining files; interviewing callers and making proper referrals; arranging meetings and conferences; and receiving, referring, or answering mail. Reviews drafts and finished documents for appropriate grammatical usage; answers questions relating to office operations and established policies and procedures. Gathers, compiles and reports on information relevant to supervisors assignment. May take and transcribe dictation.

ADMINISTRATIVE

  1. Update facility occupancy data

  2. Create and submit expense reports

  3. Schedule meetings and coordinate travels for senior executives

  4. Organize staff offsite events

  5. Timecard and Expense Proxy

  6. Assist new hire with paperwork and onboarding processes in a timely manner

FACILITY OPERATIONS

  1. Maintain safety standards for facility and site inspections

  2. Environmental Health & Safety site lead for Orlando offices

  3. Ensure that the facility is fully operational with all telecommunications functioning properly

  4. Create and update Continuity of Operations Plan

  5. Prepare and coordinate logistic shipments

PROCUREMENT

  1. Coordinate with procurement and finance for purchase orders

  2. Review and approve invoices for payment

  3. Compare and monitor purchase orders for prices, terms, and other charges

  4. Assist vendors with billing or invoice questions

  5. Contact suppliers to request quotes and follow up on delivery

  6. Prepare Purchase Requisition and approve invoices for the facility

  7. Prepare and monitor annual expenditures

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience.

  1. Must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Word.

The Role

The candidate in this role will mentor and lead all levels of personnel responsible for developing Visual Work Instructions (VWIs). The candidate will also assist in analyzing digital design data and utilize these products in conjunction with build plans to create quality and accurate VWIs. Interprets and adds design elements and portions of systems for VWIs to meet manufacturing and installation requirements. Utilizes computer-aided design equipment and/or graphic tools such as, Teamcenter, NX, SAP, NGP and TDP. Incorporates required changes as applicable. Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. The candidate will makes decisions that directly impact departmental goals and business operations. They will also coordinate with other organizations in the value stream to meet program objectives. Along with performing all other duties as assigned.

Must Have

Bachelor's Degree in relevant field and 5 years of relevant, exempt experience. Master's Degree and 3 years of relevant, exempt experience.

The Role

This position is intended for candidates seeking an information systems based career opportunity within E25 Test Engineering. The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the temporary ship LAN known as the Design Validation Test Program (DVTP) Information System (IS). The network is MS Windows based and utilized by Ships Force and test engineering during the construction of Virginia Class Submarines. Duties involve the setup, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of servers, domains, client computers, and their associated network infrastructure. A candidate for this position should possess a wide range of computer skills to include familiarity with Windows Server, Windows OS, implementation of NIST cybersecurity controls, anti-virus software, fiber network infrastructure, switches, media convertors, data backup, imaging tools, and auditing tools. The position will interface with the ships force users. A key responsibility for this position is working with construction and project personnel to coordinate temporary infrastructure installation and reconfiguration for key events. Additional responsibilities include coordinating with government agencies and ships force to install government furnished software on the network. This position will require work onboard submarines under construction. Should be able to work shipboard, including using vertical and incline ladders. May be required to lift/carry tool bags or equipment.

Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources. Ancillary duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space.

HII-Mission Technologies Division is seeking a Project Manager with experience supporting the Office of the Secretary of Defense and other agencies in the U.S. Department of Defense. This position will be located in our Newport News and Hampton Roads location. This position requires performing safety surveillances onboard aircraft carriers and providing input for corrective actions for all findings observed. The selected candidate will also provide safety training for Refueling and Complex Overhaul (RCOH) employees in a variety of areas that include: Fire Watch, Fall Protection, Hot Work, Confined Spaces, Scaffolding Competent Person, Permit Authorizing Individual, Paint Sampling and Hazard Communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implements and monitors industrial safety programs to ensure personnel and facility safety.

  • Participates in monitoring and controlling the organization's safety standards in accordance with OSHA and State codes and regulations.

  • Evaluates new equipment and materials for safety.

  • Monitors employee exposure to chemicals and other toxic substances.

Job Description

An Ingalls Welder is responsible for the joining together of different types of metal materials with a variety of welding processes; the most basic of which are, Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) also known as "stick welding- and Flux-Core Arc Welding (FCAW) also known as -wire welding.- The shipyard environment is an around the clock manufacturing setting. Ingalls shipyard production areas at times involve working at different heights, confined spaces, different weather conditions as well as multiple shifts 24 hours a day. As with most every position in the shipyard, a Welder may be required to work either day or night dependent upon the number of ships under construction at any one point in time. Ingalls stresses the practice of working safely in all situations with safety procedures meeting, and most times, exceeding industry standards.

Must Have

  • This position requires a minimum of one (1) year of work experience in FCAW (Flux Core) and SWAW (Stick) welding, the ability to pass military standard tests in the vertical (3G), horizontal (2G) and overhead (4G) positions.

  • Successful completion of a welding technical training certification program will be allowed in lieu of experience requirement. Qualified applicants will be required to pass a hands-on skill assessment; the weld test is for x-ray quality.

High School Diploma or Equivalent is preferred. Previous experience in shipbuilding is preferred.

The Role

Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks. The SSNX program is seeking an Engineering Technician 4 to join the Ao (operational availability) team in order to support the development of the next generation fast attack submarine. This is an opportunity to get involved at the beginning of a new design and have influence over what will become the Navy's premier attack submarine platform. The position will work with multi-discipline teams on incorporation of Ao design principles. They will engage with shipyard, customers and other stakeholders to collect feedback for design incorporation, and challenge design decisions to deviate from standard practice to realize lifecycle cost improvements.

The Role

Quality Management Systems (Dept. O31) is responsible for all ISO 17025 laboratories at Newport News Shipbuilding. The laboratory is accredited for two programs that are based on ISO 17025 via AIHA and VELAP. In addition, O31 is the quality and technical lead for Calibration accreditation which is currently through the Navy's program (NAVSEA 4734C), but this accreditation may also be moved to ISO 17025 in the future. ISO 17025 is similar to ISO 9001, but more specific for laboratories. O31 has a robust quality management program within the department with dedicated staff to ensure unique quality requirements are met in lab processes

Priority responsibilities for this position include:

  • Financial management of department budgets for direct & overhead work. O31 provides services to all NNS programs and therefore has budgets on each major program. In addition, O31 has substantial responsibilities for overhead functions such as testing to support facilities (HRSD, gases, drains, environmental permit), receipt inspection (stock materials, weld wire) and calibrations services.

  • Supports NNS leadership in investigations related to materials and processes within the shipyard using the unique technical and diagnostic capabilities of the laboratory staff and equipment. Due to expertise in chemistry, metallurgy and special/engineering test methods, it is common for O31 personnel to be the go to experts on many unexpected material or process issues that arise during construction processes. The O31 manager is involved to organize the capabilities of the lab to meet these challenges in a timely fashion.

  • NAVSEA Water Chemistry manual test methods are followed by the Water Chemistry section of the laboratory. O31 provide chemicals and testing of propulsion plant systems for all CVN and SSN vessels at NNS. The personnel in this section are qualified to the Water Chemistry manual requirements and subject to audit by Naval Reactors. This section also provides 24/7 coverage during certain plant testing cycles.

Other responsibilities include: Develops, maintains and ensures compliance with quality assurance programs, policies, processes, procedures and that the performance and quality of products conform to established standards, specifications and agency guidelines. Provides expertise and guidance in interpreting policies, regulatory and/or governmental regulations, and agency guidelines to assure compliance. Works directly with operating entities to ensure that inspections, process control analyses or audits are conducted on a continuing basis as specified to enforce requirements and meet specifications. Ensures the quality assurance programs and policies are maintained and modified regularly. Establishes and ensures that inspections are conducted prior to the processing of raw materials, ingredients, product and package specifications, frequently at vendor/supplier locations. May serve as liaison between the company and the various governmental agencies

What You Will Do:

Duties will include reviewing structured and unstructured data and providing analytical rigor to the information and delivering a cohesive methodical product. You will execute your mission through integration of data from diverse intelligence disciplines, including SIGINT, MASINT, GEOINT, IMINT, and HUMINT to illuminate entities and networks of interest, supporting both conventional and other Marines Forces CONUS and OCONUS.

As a CWMD Intelligence Analyst, you will:

  • Develop multi-intelligence analysis and assessments that integrates existing national-level products and databases to define patterns of threat activities and narrow the search space to conduct counter-threat operations.

  • Interact with the supported Combatant Commands and the Community of Interest during the development of intelligence products to meet Command, unit and subordinate element intelligence requests for information and inform a variety of activities to protect critical infrastructure.

  • Plan, develop, and deliver tailored intelligence capabilities to enhance the organization's ability to effectively mitigate improvised threat.

  • Identify and analyze problems, and generate recommended solutions based upon experience working with elements of the DOD and interagency partners.

What We're Looking For:

Who We Are

HII-Mission Technologies is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing functional technical expertise to the development and integration of DIU-NSIN-developed capabilities into Mission Partner environments. HII-Mission Technologies is seeking a Software Engineer who designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.

Logistics, ISR, and Next-Gen Technology (LOGIX) TO focuses on ILS to support as envisioned by the JADC2 Strategy of moving to joint/combined capability development. The LOGIX TO will also support the JADC2 goal to deliver a relevant information advantage with ISR operations and logistics support. To support continued progress and sustainment of the JADC2 Strategy, the LOGIX TO support the accelerated application of technological solutions by analyzing new and emerging technologies for DIU-NSIN Mission Partner systems, technologies, capabilities, platforms, equipment, and associated subordinate and supporting systems used to execute their missions.

What You Will Do

  • Conducts multi-disciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and use of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.

  • Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.

  • Conducts software maintenance to improve performance. Ensures software standards are met. Analyzes user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.

  • Implements Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE) to provide an open systems approach for military aviation solutions, delivering software-defined capabilities to the end user faster and more affordably. Plans and implements technology insertion and refresh to improve system capabilities.

  • Confers with systems analysts, engineers, programmers, and others to design the system and obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements, and interfaces.

  • Designs, develops, and modifies software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes and consequences of design.

  • Coordinates software system installations and monitors equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met. Incorporates software development best practices to include agile, Development Operations (DevOps), and Development, Security, and Operations (DevSecOps).

  • May develop software for image and video manipulation and enhancement.

What We Are Looking For

  • 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.

  • Programming skills: Strong programming skills in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, C++

  • Excellent problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex software issues.

  • 2-3 years of experience in software development or a related field

  • Knowledge of software development methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or Scrum.

  • Demonstrated command of engineering principles, methods, and techniques in area of expertise.

  • Advanced knowledge of relevant tools, equipment, hardware, and software.

  • Effective customer and organizational level communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Clearance: Must possess a Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance.

What You Will Do

  • Designs, develops, and implements information assurance/security standards and procedures for the customer.

  • Coordinates, develops, and evaluates security programs for an organization.

  • Provides recommendations for information assurance/security solutions to support the customers' requirements. Identifies, reports, and resolves security violations.

  • Establishes and satisfies information assurance and security requirements based on the analysis of user, policy, regulatory, and resource demands.

  • Defines, plans, designs, and evaluates information security system.

  • Assesses and updates architecture and current hardware limitations.

  • Defines and designs system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.

  • Supports information system life cycle activities from rapidly establishing systems to support classified projects, to scope systems for new programs and prepare Risk Management Framework (RMF) packages, to regular maintenance, to support and upgrades of systems during program execution, and to program close-out and de-certification activities.

  • Ensures compliance with data security policies and relevant legal and regulatory requirements.

  • Provides subject matter expertise in all cyber security initiatives and helps explain new guidance.

  • Provides cyber end user support, infrastructure, information security policy, and RMF-based IT system certification, and accreditation to receive and maintain Authority to Operate (ATO).

  • Assists in maintaining and obtaining ATO status. Ensures appropriate changes and improvement actions are implemented as required. Provides IT Systems Support deliverables, as required.

What We Are Looking For
