Experience with Siemens Teamcenter and NX software is a plus. The Engineer candidate will perform dynamic structural (shock) analyses utilizing finite element analysis (FEA) methods with the pre-/post-processor FEMAP and ABAQUS computer applications, perform hand calculations using textbook methods, and develop engineering calculation reports, customer submittal letters, support the development of ship alterations (ShipAlts) and Nuclear Liaison Inquiry (NLIs). Interface with Construction Engineering and Trades to mitigate fabrication and installation issues associated with CVN 78 Class propulsion plant structures. In addition, develop close working relationships with all PPPY engineering and design disciplines as well as all upstream and downstream customers. Work with Design utilizing Team Center workflow process to communicate engineering resolution and approve changes to the product model. Tools utilized include Siemen's TEAMCENTER, FEAMAP, NASTRAN, ABAQUS, MATHCAD and a variety of other engineering and design software applications.

This position requires a BS in Engineering from an ABT accredited school of engineering with an emphasis on structural dynamics or equivalent. This position will manage an established production program supporting the Navy's Program Manager for Naval Special Warfare. The Network Engineer in this position will be providing network engineering and architecture support to a dedicated enterprise Navy and Air Force operational and training networks. The engineer shall develop supporting documentation on network, voice, and VTC architectures and capabilities including requirements documentation, architecture drawings, information assurance documentation, test plans/results, configuration change documentation, implementation procedures, and operational validation procedures. The design will require extensive collaboration with DoD commands and agencies and extensive knowledge of security technical guides and best practices in order to maintain and enhance the information assurance posture of the enterprise network.

He/she will develop and submit Bill of Materials (BOMS) for hardware, software, and other resources required for development and implementation. The engineer will develop architectural and technical briefs on the design, capabilities, and functional operation of networking technologies and projects for peer-review with Network Engineering and other divisions. Transition and implementation plans will be developed which provides a plan of action and milestone schedule for successful completion of projects. These plans will account for all aspects of the solution including a demonstrated understanding of all customer data transport requirements, required network equipment and cabling, service interruptions, risk mitigations, and effects on information assurance and security posture.
