Description
The Facilities & Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring that the facilities are operating as they should on a daily basis. This role oversees and monitors a robust maintenance program through focused efforts to establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and driving maintenance excellence . In addition, the Facilities & Maintenance Manager leads a team of Maintenance Supervisors, Mechanics & Electricians in the predictive & preventative maintenance activities related to PowerSecure's manufacturing and office facilities, and equipment.
Minimum Qualifications:
BS/BA in facility management, engineering, business administration or relevant field is preferred.
3 years of supervisory or management experience
5+ years' experience in facilities and or maintenance position.
Demonstrated experience in planning maintenance operations.
Technical skills in mechanical and electrical repair is required
Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
Deep working knowledge of electrical, generator, mechanical, fuel cell, Micro Grid and HVAC systems
Strong problem solving, team building, planning and decision making
Knowledge of regulations/codes/guideline such as OSHA 30, National Fire Protection Association, and NEC
Familiarity with operating in an ISO9000 and Lean Manufacturing environment
Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM) will be a plus
Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Thorough knowledge of maintenance systems, work order processes, preventive/predictive maintenance.
Strong leadership skills (conflict resolution, facilitation, change management skills, decision making, empowerment and delegation).
Able to lead problem solving and troubleshooting efforts associated with high-level process issues.
Knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Good planning and priority setting skills with the ability to formulate plans for the future working with decision makers to determine the best upgrade paths for equipment and infrastructure.
Ability to advise business units on measures to improve the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the facility
Ensuring that basic facilities are well-maintained and conducting proactive maintenance
Ability to deal with emergencies as they arise with professionalism and a calm demeanor
Managing budgets
Ensuring that facilities meet compliance standards and government regulations
Planning for the future by forecasting the facility's upcoming needs and requirements
The ability to prioritize and multi-task
Passionate about delivering consistent excellence
Dealing with emergency issues that arise and having contingency plans regarding what needs to be done if a certain situation occurs, such as equipment breaking down unexpectedly.
Knowledge on how to develop and maintain equipment and facilities continuity plans.
