Job Description

This position provides support to the regulatory affairs department in day-to-day responsibilities as well as external driven initiatives and requirements such as Commission workshops, compliance filings and other projects that require significant cross-functional expertise and coordination. This role will support the Project Manager, Regulatory Affairs to develop extensive project plans, coordinate external meetings and meeting materials. conduct analysis for regulatory matters and legislative proposals, and research, track and complete internal management updates.

Functional Expertise:

  • Coordinate projects in support of regulatory requirements and initiatives

  • Project manage regulatory initiatives working cross-functionally to secure information, manage deliverables and ensure due dates are met.

  • Develop PowerPoint presentations and other materials to support Company speakers. May include industry research.

  • Assist in the drafting and coordination of witness testimony for regulatory filings

  • Manages the on-line filing system of regulatory filings and information, and electronic filing/case management database related to project work.

  • Proven ability to independently manage, plan, organize and prioritize detailed aspects of several projects/issues simultaneously

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Demonstrated ability in project management, including using MS tools and applications.

  • Highly organized and detail oriented.

  • Ability to summarize and synthesize complex topics and information into comprehensible mediums

  • Exceptional communication skills able to engage with Sr. Level Executives

  • Energy industry experience

  • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders on regulatory initiatives and projects

  • Demonstrates a high degree of personal engagement when resolving problems / planning activities.

  • Represents Department with professionalism on the phone, in person, and in writing.

Driving Results:

  • Provides high-level support to the regulatory affairs team to ensure timely and accurate responses and compliance with regulatory and legislative initiatives

  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communicate skills.

  • Optimizes project flows by identifying process improvements and implementing changes.

Qualifications

Education, Certifications/Licenses:

Preferred:

  • B.S./B.A. Business/Business Administration or other bachelor's degree with relevant work experience

Related Work Experience

Required:

  • 3-5 years' experience coordinating strategic projects with significant company impact and executive visibility.

Preferred:

  • 3-5 years' experience coordinating events and meetings, including developing meeting materials

Specific Skills& Knowledge:

Required:

  • High proficiency at MS Word, SharePoint, MS Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams

Preferred:

  • MS Project

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Infrequent Traveler (0-5% travel): The incumbent may be required to travel on a very limited basis to the Public Service Commission or for other related meetings. Trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay away from home for one or more nights.
