To direct and supervise the manufacturing department personnel in an efficient manner to assure the desired quality and quantity of work is achieved.

  1. Supervise the activities of press operators, material handlers, utility personnel, inspectors, and finishing.

  2. Direct employees with respect to procedures, training, quality, and safety.

  3. Stimulate maximum efficiency and productivity of employees.

  4. Develop manufacturing personnel through cross-training, goal setting, education, and employee involvement programs.

  5. Recommend the hiring and releasing of production personnel as required to maintain an efficient and safe working environment.

  6. Assure that personnel are properly trained with respect to safety, quality, procedures, and the operation of production equipment.

  7. Perform employee evaluations and wage reviews.

  8. Schedule overtime as required.

  9. Arrange to have the appropriate production records prepared and maintained.

  10. Maintain good employee relations.

  11. Report all relevant shift activities to the appropriate Managers.

  12. Assure continuous improvement in working conditions, methods, productivity, and efficiency.

  13. In concert with individual employees and Managers, establish responsibilities and goals for manufacturing personnel, that are consistent with organizational goals.

  14. Assure shared responsibility with the shift Technical Production Manager, for the facility and its contents.

  15. Analyze and solve work and personnel problems.

  16. Maintain adherence to company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.

Minimum of 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment and employee supervision

Knowledge of and work experience with production scheduling

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Basic knowledge of PC's

Must be authorized to work in the United Sates.
