Job Summary:
The APPG (Aftermarket Parts Protection and Growth) Specialist works within the E&APSD (Electrification and Advanced Powered Solution Division) of E&T (Energy & Transportation). The position is responsible for aftermarket parts growth, inventory management and service strategies. The role manages components used in electric powertrain solutions.
Job Purpose:
To own the overall health of the aftermarket business for components under E&APSD's design control including maintaining and growing parts and services related OPACC. To provide our customers with a great customer experience by ensuring we have the right service solutions in place in the right global locations.
Job Duties and Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Work NPI projects/programs and ensure all related deliverables with each NPI/NTI gate review are completed. Including long-term forecasts, TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) analysis, service level development and inventory planning.
Develop a comprehensive parts OPACC strategy for both current and NPI products in collaboration with other enterprise divisions. Including parts pricing, repair option development and go-to-market execution.
Ensure the Aftermarket Growth Guide is applied consistently including IP, prognostics, branding and agreements.
Collaborate with Reman Division and design teams to develop repair options. Lead and execute Repair Option Strategies - What repair options and Reman support need be offered at the component level to customers that maximize Caterpillar growth and market share.
Basic Requirements:
4-year College degree preferably Engineering and 7 to 12 years of progressively responsible job-related experience.
5 years parts experience and/or Product/Component group experience and/or Product Support experience (field experience a plus).
6 Sigma black belt and NPI experience.
Excellent interpersonal skills to persuade others inside and outside the department to take specific actions with a proven ability to work across functional lines to achieve goals.
Able to work and set priorities without day-to-day direct supervision.
