Summary You will serve as a PURCHASE CARD COORDINATOR in the RESOURCE MANAGEMENT DIVISION, BUSINESS DEPARTMENT of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR PUGET SOUND. Responsibilities You will use a government purchase card as a procurement method for purchases following established rules, regulations, and thresholds. You will review monthly statements for accuracy and reconciles charges. You will coordinate and monitor disputed procurements, billing errors, disputed payments, or credits that are not resolved with the vendor. You will make recommendations to management regarding possible action for non-compliant card holders and approving officials. You will identify areas of concern and non-compliance and make recommendations to management officials regarding corrective actions and measures that should be taken. You will demonstrate the ability to clearly and effectively articulate, present, and promote varied ideas and issues (to include sensitive or controversial topics) before a wide range of audiences. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-05) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of Qualifying Specialized Experience: 1) Utilizing knowledge of technical purchasing methods and procedures sufficient to develop and select criteria/technical ranking factors for purchases of a variety of detailed commercial services and items; 2) Applying knowledge of principles, regulations and procedures related to purchases using the Government Purchase Card; 3) Recognizing questionable purchase requests or items/services that cannot be procured with appropriated funds, in order to explain rejected purchase requests or elevate them to the Approving Official (AO) or Agency Program Coordinator (APC) for resolution; 4) Advising customers of product characteristics (e.g., available sizes, quantities, brand names, packaging, etc.), identify sources of supply, and determine the adequacy of item descriptions; 5) Documenting credit card procurement actions and material receipt in an automated supply database.
