As a Program Manager supporting PSLD Transformation, in this role, you will be responsible for providing leadership to support, and align governance process for, Wear & Maintenance Components and SD&D Procurement initiatives enabling Enterprise Services 2X Services Growth goals. This role indirectly leads other teams in the division and enterprise for collaboration, ensuring a healthy project portfolio and robust governance processes. Processes including, but not limited to, leading strategic discussions for component services growth through Obeya and SVP engagements, enhancing governance for Aftermarket Growth Guide (AGG), Enterprise Component Strategy (ECS) source change approvals, Leadership Table Dependencies, and deploying Enterprise Workstream 9 framework. The role reports directly to the Transformation Vice President of PSLD and is critical in the execution of PSLD's and the enterprise's strategy in support of the Services, Dealer & Digital (SD&D) portfolio for maximizing profitable growth for the enterprise.

Responsibilities:

This role requires a long-range focus on business strategy and a strong background in project management, with positive results achieved by delivering sizeable programs and projects through completion on time and in alignment with goals. Decisions or recommendations resulting from the workstream will have significant impact on the division and ultimately the enterprise.

  • Create long-term vision and direction and translate it into a series of near-term and long-range strategies and functional plans to achieve the greatest OPACC Contribution gains

  • Perform financial analysis and generate any reports required by Vice President or higher levels of leadership

  • Provide coaching and promote best practices across PSLD departments

  • Establish and foster collaborative relationships with process partners outside the division

  • Monitor initiative progress and re-direct project leads as necessary to ensure successful attainment of goals

  • Present progress regularly in a variety of meetings to a variety of audiences and in a variety of formats

  • Collaborate with Change-Management and Communication Strategists to communicate process changes across the enterprise

  • Other duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time-to-time

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 10-12 years of progressively responsible job/industry related experience

  • Multi-business unit experience

  • Strong analytical skills to perform financial analysis and prepare strategic plans

  • Previous team leadership experience and excellent interpersonal skills are needed to deal with sensitive issues, develop others, and persuade others inside and outside the department to take specific action

  • The ability to travel domestically up to 5% of the time

Top Candidates will also have:

  • Knowledge of the Caterpillar organization, its customers, products, policies, and procedures are highly desired

  • Experience in aftermarket components

  • Ability to set bold goals, strategies to achieve those goals, and turn strategies into action

  • Exceptional networking skills

  • Ability to be futuristic and proactive

  • Ability to simplify complex information and develop clear communications and presentation materials to a variety of audiences

  • Leader that demonstrates intellectual curiosity and encourages diverse thinking to promote and nurture innovation to implement new lean solutions

  • Ability to adapt to multiple cultures and countries; fluency in English

  • 5 (plus) years in project management

  • PMP Certification
