Responsibilities
Supervises the Brookdale at Home nursing services and clinical program. Ensures the efficient and effective operation of the Brookdale at Home agency and interdisciplinary team process.
Provides direct supervision of Brookdale at Home clinical program and nursing associates, which includes monitoring job performance, associate training, and participating in associate performance evaluations, coaching and counseling, and conducting and documenting corrective action as needed. Participates in the hiring, firing, and disciplinary processes of clinical nursing staff.
Delivers and coordinates clinical services for the agency, including but not limited to making client and associate assignments, coordinating client care and referrals, assuring that client needs are continually assessed, and assuring the development, implementation and updates of the individualized plan of care if applicable and per state regulations.
Ensures that agency and corporate policies are disseminated and followed by all Brookdale at Home associates.
Works in conjunction with the BAH Administrator and agency managers concerning the implementation and monitoring of agency services, clinical program, and state surveys if applicable and per state regulations.
Ensures adequate staffing coverage for the provision of nursing services on a day-to-day basis
Available to staff during operating hours as a resource and manager, and responds to calls after hours and weekends in a timely manner
Ensures effective Continuous Quality Assurance of Improvement Program.
Manages documentation process to ensure completeness, accuracy, timeliness and compliance with guidelines. Complies with all Safety and Infection Control, Universal Precautions, and OSHA standards.
Maintains current knowledge of national and state requirements for scope of practice, supervision, credentialing and ongoing competency. Assumes responsibility for ongoing continuing education and professional development.
Maintains positive relationships and rapport with coworkers, Clients, family members and community personnel.

Qualifications
Education and Experience
Graduate from Accredited Nursing School and acquired RN license, pursuant to state regulations required.
A minimum of two years of experience as a nurse is required, including one year in home care or a closely related service.
Supervisory experience preferred.
Certifications, Licenses, and Other Special Requirements
Current state licensure. RN License Required
